Rubber Stamp

I’m not going to say the NCAA appeals committee made the right or wrong decision today. But after reading their report, it felt like a big rubber stamping of the original decision. Not that I expected anything less.

  1. I was not surprised by the NCAA’s decision. It was totally a rubber stamp. Months ago Mark Emmert stated that although he had not read USC’s appeal he believes they got it right

  2. Agreed. And they let USC twist in the wind for 4 freaking months just to deny it. Bunch of a-holes.

If you went by this precedent, I don’t see how anything less than the death penalty for Ohio St. would be possible.

  3. A lot to do about NOTHING! Less than 10% of all NCAA appeals are successful. What made you fools think your situation was any different? Really?
Mike Garrett was in way over his head and was a liability anytime he opened his mouth(insert foot in mouth).
Reggie was in on the TAKE (to believe otherwise is just plain DUMB).
McNair certainly knew what was going on.
Petey was a SLEAZEBAG and had no respect for anyone or anything.
Consider yourselves fortunate. Just hope the investigations into Kiffy/Orgeron’s activities at Tenn. go away…, though not likely. And what about the McKnight mess?
    Fite on Troban!
The curse is all around you.

  4. I am waiting to see how the other schools get treated by their misdeeds. I think we all are waiting to see the level of sanctions… If it is a “no prisoners” attitude taken by today’s NCAA, based on how SC got hammered and left to rot, we had better see corpses laying on the ground from the other sanctioned programs too or SCs administration had better re-evaluate their stance on turning the other cheek if they don’t want a back-lash from their SC supporters! I hope our AD & president understands they have taken a very unpopular stance on all this.
