Track Update
The USC 4 x 400 meter relay team posted the second-fastest time today (3:05.08) in the qualifying heats of the West Regionals. Hurdler Brendan Ames had the third-fastest time in the 110m hurdles (13.44). In the women’s 100m hurdles, USC’s Nia Ali (12.92) and Lauren Blackburn (13.09) were first and third.
Dual Sport Update
USC starting cornernack Tony Burnett finished 40th in the triple jump at the NCAA West Regional in Eugene, Ore.

Morning Buzz
USC moved into a tie for fourth place in the Pac-10 with its 6-2 victory over Washington State on Friday night. Pitcher Andrew Triggs struck out a career-high 13 and allowed one earned run. The teams play again today at 2 p.m.
Basketball Transfer
Eric Wise, a 6-6 transfer from UC Irvine, signed scholarship papers to play basketball at USC.
Wise the cousin of former USC forward Jaha Wilson and nephew of former NBA player Willie Wise. His father, Francois, was the all-time rebounder at Long Beach State.
Mock The Draft
This football geeks fantasy draft did not think nearly as much of USC players as those NFL mock drafts for next season.
Baseball Weekend
USC closes out its season with a three-game homestand against Washington State this weekend. If the Trojans win two games, it will be their most conference victories since 2005 and the first time they finish above .500 in league since 2005.
