I recently had a chance to watch linebacker Jabari Ruffin of Downey High. With no pads it is always dangerous to project a player. But Ruffin certainly moved well and looked extremely athletic in drills. I could envision him at several positions, which is important because USC needs versatility in the era of scholarship reductions.

USC coach Lane Kiffin probably won’t be happy to hear that Oregon is featured in EA Sports’ NCAA Football 12 game demo released today. Texas, Alabama and Florida State are also featured.
No doubt Kiffin will think Oregon’s uniforms contributed to this decision.
