Morning Buzz

We mentioned that Kevin O’Neill is at the Adidas Invitational in Indianapolis watching high school recruits. Who else is there? Mike Krzyzewski (Duke), Tom Izzo (Michigan State), Brad Stevens (Butler), Tom Crean (Indiana), Bruce Weber (Illinois), Matt Painter (Purdue), Thad Matta (Ohio State) and Jamie Dixon (Pitt) among others.
Shabazz Muhammad, the son of former USC basketball player Ron Holmes, scored 39 points in a game Wednesday.

  1. With the Hamburglar and myself present and accounted for we are waiting for Captian Crook, Grimace and of course Ronald to show up.

  2. Don’t forget those strange colorful french-fry creatures that looked like pom-poms with eyes. Also, wasn’t there some sort of police officer based on one of their burgers? I’m thinking of a McDonald’s playground circa 1984.

  3. Mr. Dupree, you are correct sir, but I was just referring to the core group of originals. Of course, as Mayor, I am inclusive by nature and do not want to disenfranchise Birdy, the Fry Kid’s Officer Big Mac, etc.

  4. Birdy! I can’t believe I forgot that one.

The food may have been poisonous, and the playground unsafe, but McDonald’s sure did seem like a magical place when I was a little kid.

  5. Bucket,

Why do you tend to start your charcaters with distinct speech paterns and personalities and then tend to get lazy and just go through the motions? Look at Dupree here. What started out as an African-American preacher man now sounds like a guy from the valley.
If you hope you continue this charade you are going to have to keep putting in the effort!!!!
