In this segment, a question about the wide receivers.h

Q: bestlakersfan said:
Scott, please rank from best to worst, in your opinion, the WRs AND please let us know what the depth chart is.

A: Robert Woods, George Farmer, Brandon Carswell, Kyle Prater, Marqise Lee, De’von Flournoy, Victor Blackwell, Markeith Ambles. The depth chart by the end of camp should have Woods and Farmer starting with Carswell and Prater as backups but Lee and Flournoy and maybe Blackwell challenging for second string spots.

Q: Rex Griswald said:
Does USC have any interest in LSU basketball transfer Garrett Green? He would be eligible immediately and would fill a need on the front line. Is there an available scholarship?

A: Right now I have not heard strong interest in him. One reason is that USC would need to take away a scholarship of another player and I believe the deadline passed to attempt to do that.

  1. I think Prater should be catching fade routes in the end zone. Dude can jump kinda like BMW….

  2. Oh yea….BTW…..
A special insert in today’s L.A. Times is the “Readers Choice 2011 Best of Southern California,” which contains polling results from “well over 40,000” voters on many categories (e.g., best Russian restaurant, best museum, best chiropractor). In the Education section, the winning University was — of course — UCLA!

The write up notes that “UCLA is a shared public asset that benefits society…” It recognizes Westwood for “… educating students, powering the economy and improving overall quality of life.” Further, we are “… the top arts and cultural education center in the western U.S….” And lest anyone be uninformed, we are identified as “… home to a storied and proud Bruin sports program that has brought home the most NCAA team championships in the history of collegiate sports.”

  3. ThaiMex, When they said UCLA they didn’t mean University of Cerritos, Left on Alondra. It’s not your alma mater they’re talking about.
