  1. When fall practice starts can I get into Dedeaux Field and watch practice from the first base stands?

  2. When will USC apologize to its fans for the embarrassement, the mismanagement, the NCAA penalties, the returned trophies, the vacated wins, and the wasted decade of time and money (aka, the Pete Carroll era)?

  3. SC’s roster lists 8 QBs. Who will back up Barkley, and which of others will move to new positions?

  4. @DixieTrojan: You sound more like a FUCLA fan. I don’t want any apologies. Most real USC fans wouldn’t change anything about those years under Coach Carroll. The Trojan Walk was a red carpet every saturday, Matt and Reggie were superstars, SC averages nearly 50 points a game, brought home 3 Heisman Trophies, 2 national championships, several Pac-10 titles, a multitude of All-Americans and NFL draft picks, and brought USC back to its rightful place–the TOP of college football. SC fans should be so grateful they were able to experience something so special. Those kids worked their asses off and kicked people’s asses as a result. Nice car and nice home or not.
    FIGHT ON!

  6. What’s up with Lamar Dawson? Is dude the second coming of Cushing, and will he start?

  7. After the U2 concerts at Angel Stadium in June, U2 paid for an entirely new field of grass to be installed. After this weekend’s Rage Against The Machine and Muse concert at the Coliseum, we will be getting new turf?

  8. Which of the following you enjoy criticizing the most : Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart, Pete Caroll or Lane Kiffin.

  9. hey scott, two-part question for you — how has Lamar Dawson looked thus far and which of the freshman has stood out the most (aside from George Farmer?)?

    Thanks!

  10. Has NOBS seeked psychological help for his unusual fetish of giving oral pleasure to his poodle “fidos”?

@Mono, second coming of Cushing? why is Dawson already on steroids? and Dixie is right, only a true trOJan fan would be embarrassed over the shameful Carroll era, you delusional trOJan.

  11. Why does a Cerritos JC attendee, with no ucla affiliation other than his handle, spend all day on a USC blog?

  12. 1. Scott, don’t you think Bruin fans make your blog more interesting?
    2. don’t you think that without the Cadre your blog would be as boring as trOJan 70’s repetitious posts?
    3. do you think trOJan 70 is retarded, or do you think he just likes to act retarded?

  13. Do you think it would be better for the Trojans to play a few more young guys than they were planning this season (I.e. starting a freshman on the line, at receiver, or at linebacker) knowing that the experience gained will help them next season when they can compete for a PAC-12 title and possible BCS bowl?

  14. Scott, why haven’t you commented on Olk BB having NCAA problems with their Asst AD being in a similar position with SC BB when we had NCAA problems? Could it be he was your “deep throat” at SC and continues to blab?

  15. @kNobbed, what the hell is “Olk BB” you dipWad…hard time concentrating while “deep throating” your poodle “Fidos”?

  16. Scott,
It seem you feel it is still up in the air whether or not Kiffin has the leadership ability to be a successful head coach at USC. I am curious how you determine what is a successful leader. Is it strictly wins and loses? The team playing well in big games? Does losing games you are favored in make you a poor leader? Each year Pete Caroll seemed to lose an unexpected game. Did that make him a poor leader? Thanks for you time and answer.

  17. JBoy, Scott is smarter than you. He will figure it out. Now go back to Buellers and clean the heads.

  18. I guess by your posting the filth & immaturity of some posters, you are condoning this behavior… but you are very judgemental with Kiffin’s policying his players level of talk. Is this a double standard?

  19. Scott, you have continued to say that you don’t read the comments. Why not? Seems to me that if you read, and more importantly participated, you could keep the discussion on the subject and keep the juvenile (being generous) comments to a minimum. Unfortunately this blog is getting to the point where you can’t have a normal discussion about a SC issue without the same people (on both sides) hijacking it to make it about them. It’s flat out boring.

  20. Building on what Fiestahobbit said, isn’t it time we all admitted that (thanks to the draconian NCAA sanctions) this season is at worst a waste of time and at best a time for the underclassmen to be given generous playing time to try to impress the coaches and for the juniors and seniors to try to impress the NFL scouts since we are banned from the Pac 12 title game and the BCS championship?

  21. Do you think USC will end up hosting a midweek game sometime in the next few seasons?

  22. What is up with the Kelvin York commitment, or shoud I say offer? Most recruting sites don’t even list him and RB is not a position that we lack depth in. So why do we have him? Any thoughts from you? Anything from the coaches?

  23. Nicely, the publish is actually the sweetest on this deserving topic. I agree with your conclusions and will eagerly look forward to your incoming updates. Just saying thanks will not just be adequate, for the wonderful clarity in your writing. I will at once grab your rss feed to stay informed of any updates. High-quality work and much success in your business endeavors.

  24. A year ago, Mark Larson of the USC Board of Counselors made this remark:

Theres a difference between cheating and breaking the rules. This was breaking the rules. Its ludicrous to say USC was cheating.

Given what we know now and with all the appeals exhausted…do you agree with Mark?

  25. With the NBA lockout likely to delay the start of their season, do you think we will see Nikola Vucevic playing in Europe?

  26. wolfman, what’s the latest with the Baby QB?? the internets are buzzing about the fact that Auburn is offering him. in fact, defending Natl Champion coach Gene Chizik has one commit who is a teammate of the BabyQB in Delaware and is offering several more.

then, the Baby’s dad actually picked up some Auburn coaches at the airport and then the Baby attended Auburn’s spring game. it looks bad, Wolfman.

wolfman, don’t let ’em take away our Baby!!!

  27. Wolf, miss the video reports i do.

new guest reporters will you have?

an interview with padewon Kiff, welcome would be, hmmm?.

love to banter with Wolf, Kiff does.

a pre-season video report, is needed i sense.

remember, wolf, there is no try.

    only do, or do not.

    hehr hehr hehr.

  28. I was hoping you could give us your thoughts on the Taylor Mays situation. From what I understand it was the first time a player was put on the trading block via mass email and something the Niners had to know would get to the press. Mays had a descent 2010 season and seemed to stay out of trouble. All I can fathom is a possible conflict with Jim Harbaugh, could it really be off the 2009 USC-Stanford game?

Also, thanks for choosing my entry in the ear plug contest. I haven’t gotten an email from the address I left with my entry, do I need to contact you another way to pick up my prize?

  29. Mr Wolf, several journalists have contacted the undersigned concerning a highly curious demand by the Southern Cal AD that they first swear a six-point pledge of honor to not offer money or services to their players in exchange for press credentials.

I would submit that this is rather like a Madam inviting prospective sailors into her den of iniquity and first asking them to sign a pledge promising not to attempt to corrupt the “soiled doves” of the establishment!

    An excerpt from the “pledge”
    — Do you agree not to arrange, provide or promise to provide any benefits to any current USC student-athlete (or their relatives or friends) from yourself or on behalf of anyone else?
    — Do you certify that you are not an agent ( e.g, a sports agent, marketing agent or financial adviser to athletes) or any such agent’s employee, representative or affiliate (including “runners”)?

My review of the applicable statutes fails to identify any basis for this precedent condition requirement of established members of the press in order to perform their work…in layman’s terms: the Madam cannot be so choosey!!

My question: Mr. Wolf, did you submit to this degrading “Madam’s Pledge” in order to be able to do your job? If so, did you find it distasteful?

    I remain,

    Yoda’s Attorney
