Who said Pete Carroll and Lane Kiffin have nothing in common? Kiffin blamed Matt Barkley’s fumble and an interception on the offensive line and said the other interception was just a fantastic play by Vontaze Burfict.
Carroll never blamed the quarterback either.
Linebacker Dion Bailey said the ASU loss wasn’t as bad as it might have been because of the way USC played.
“It was better losing the way we did,” Bailey said. “We beat ourselves. It wasn’t a straight-up loss. We didn’t play our best game.”
Here is Saturday’s game forecast by the blog’s official meteorologist, USC graduate Evelyn Taft of Channel 9 News:
“We’re starting off the day with mostly cloudy conditions and a slight chance of a shower but don’t worry we should see partial clearing by the afternoon. We’re expecting temperatures in the 70s by 12:30 p.m., warming to near 80 by the late afternoon.”
Attendance at USC’s last home game was the smallest since 2002 and this week could be even smaller as this story details.
“We’ve got to play better,” Lane Kiffin said. “That’s up to us. Coach better. Play better. That’s L.A. When you win, they come.”
