USC-Minnesota Report Card

Here are the grades for the season-opening game.

RESULT: USC 19, Minnesota 17

Can’t pin poor offensive production on Matt Barkley.

New offensive line but little flair from backs. Where’s Dillon Baxter?

Is there anything Robert Woods can’t do? Stop other WR’s drops?

Game plan showed lack of confidence with inexperienced group.

Shut down the run but needed more sacks.

Chris Galippo’s 1.5 sacks and Hayes Pullard’s eight tackles were impressive.

Torin Harris made up for touchdown pass with game-saving interception.

Devised crazy snap and run to Rhett Ellison on first two-point play.

Simple advice for Lane Kiffin: Stop going for two points.

  1. Not sure how you could give CLK an “F” when we won the game. A “D-” maybe but not an F.

  2. No, Kiffin gets an F. His game plan SUCKED. His after game comments were CLASSLESS, he’s a prick, he needs to go and now.

  3. OTJH… seriously… STFU. He’s not gonna go right now so say something else already.

  4. Kiff gets a D-. After game comments were wrong but have nothing to do with the game. But Kiff’s grade is still HIGHER than Scott’s. Other than Professor Slob, I’ve never seen anyone get so jealous as Scotty does.

  5. BRISM, go F yourself and enjoy Kiffin and his pathetic offensive game plans and his senile old man’s pathetic defensive game plans. The sooner these two are gone the better, or did you enjoy the Tollner, Smith, Hackett years? Or did you just jump on the bandwagon in 2003?

  6. Coach Sunshine gets an F. That was a terrible first game, but then again it was a first game when many teams struggle. Hopefully he’ll realize what he did wrong and get an A and a win against Utah.

  7. LOL, All Utah has to do is shut down Woods and dare Kiffin to run the ball which he hasn’t seemed to want to do in all of his time at USC. Utah will get to Barkley, their D line is much better than Minnihaha’s, same for their DB’s. The only problem Utah has is their sore shouldered pussy QB.

  8. Barkley gets an A. Receivers get an A+. Both were in top form. Brice Butler made a few key catches. Tight ends? We can go C- there. Rhett Ellison was a stud.

Coaching, I’d go A for the first half, F for the second half, and a letter of reprimand for the post-game comments and their tone. Kiffin needs to learn the phrase “we need to work on…” and save the sarcasm for the sit down press conference. I love his dry wit, but it doesn’t play well in a 20-second sideline interview.

  9. Scottie Wolf, for the first time since I began reading your USC Trojan Message Board, you came very close to GETTING RIGHT. Please refer to BoscoH’s comments for the “go to the head of the class” answers.

BTW, it’s “USC Trojans”, ThaiMex, or are you truly a D*ck-head SlopSpic who pulls everything our your A**???

    USC 1-0

    Fight On !!!

  10. Kiffin gets a C- because the game was won. Against a lesser rated foe by just 2 points, yes that matters. But Ds & Fs are for losses. You “F & D” guys are letting your emotion run away with you. That happens to women! What the hell would you have given him if he lost the game… a “G”?

  11. No, a 2 point win against a HORRIBLE team does not earn Kiffin a C, he gets an F. His silly 2 point obsession could have cost SC the game at the end.

  12. Prof Slob, stick to you teaching. You aren’t the least bit funny. Go yo FUCSB and rub down the boys. Omy dog will take care of Mrs. Slob. When is the next US History lesson? ROFLMAO

  13. Somebody explain. KP is the OC and EO is the DC. Why is it that LK and MK are calling the game?

LK wants to be an OC and I don’t think anybody in their right mind will hire him as an OC. His only hope of survival is to remain a HC. Is he a dumb (_)(_) or what?
