Kiffin And Chow

Lane Kiffin also had this to say yesterday about Norm Chow.
“”I have nothing against Norm at all,” Kiffin said. “He’s been great to me always. I have great respect for him.”
Now I’ve already mentioned that they did not speak to each other for several years when they were on the staff together and Kiffin was involved in Chow’s ouster. So all these statements ring a bit hollow.
On the other hand, I don’t think Kiffin is lying when he says he has nothing against Chow.
Kiffin is older now and feels less petty about that type of stuff. He views what happened six years ago as in the past. So he doesn’t hold any ill will. Now does that mean Chow should hold a similar view? No. But like I tweeted yesterday, Steve Sarkisian and Rick Neuheisel are probably Kiffin on his list.

  1. Everything Lane said was true. Chow was great to him when he joined the coaching staff and things worked out very nicely for Lane and his pal Sark. They ousted their mentor and both are now head coaches and millionaires. What’s not to like?

  2. Thanks for answering my question from yesterday:

Scott, why would you believe Pete now, saying Kiff & Chow didn’t speak to each other, when you’ve said/written that you don’t believe Pete when he said he didn’t know anything about the Bush violations?

  3. The definitive answer about how Kiffin now feels about Chow would come if someone would ask Kiffin if JaMarcus is a good quarterback, errrrrrrrrr, what he thinks of Al Davis.

  4. sweet Mike! I hear Baxter was with ’em and Tyler’s bringing the beer! Weehaaa, Pick 6 ON!

BTW, better QB last week, Pick 6 Barkley or Ricky B over at UCLA? That’s right, Pick 6 isn’t even the best QB in LA.

  5. Oh boy, special Ed Jones has been huffing the gas again! His brain is fuzzy…

  6. Kiffin will be getting a COACHING lesson from Chow this Saturday. Lane Kiffin is probably the worst coach a Trojan team has ever had to endure. Our Trojans should be able to score at will, but so will Chow’s offense against a Defensive Secondary that tackles running backs real well but is dead in the water against the pass. Why not use your best defender’s against the pass like Drew McAllister at Strong and T.J at Free Safety

  7. Sped:

Barkley was the better QB, because his team WON.

Also, given the recent injury rate for fUCLA QBs, you might not have a QB by mid-season. The bRuins QBs are getting “pistol” whipped by having to run so much.

  8. Kiffin got Chow moved out, how can he not like him? Kiffin is a retard, he needs to go before SC football hit’s Tolner/Hackett depths.
