Tailback Situation

Marc Tyler remains the likely starter based on practice snaps. What is Dillon Baxter’s role? Seems a bit of a mystery still although it doesn’t look like he’s escaped the doghouse yet.

  1. Speaking of urns, if John McKay was in one it would be vibrating spastically with the Baxter (and his parents!) complaints of not getting to play.

    Please.

  2. Brother Dillon has gone from being the next Reggie Bush to the next CJ Gable. Hopefully, CJ spruced up that doghouse and installed a flat-screen during all that time he spent in there.

I still hope this situation can be salvaged.

  3. What is Baxter’s situation anyway? Kiffin claimed he was going to be backup for Tyler since DJ had fumbling problems and injuries to McNeal… are we to understand that Baxter has been pushed down in the rotation?

  4. Why was the meeting with the parents made public? Seems reasonable for them to discuss their 19 year old son’s situation with a coach who rode his daddy’s coattails to HC jobs. And, why is it that RB’s always seem to be occupying the “doghouse”? Don’t run him off Coach, and burn the CARDBOARD, you missed half the game. @LJ..you know the players could’nt even approach McKay.

  5. Of freaking course Baxter is still in the doghouse for his “bonehead” mistake in camp last year. Schollies are precious. Kiffin is not going to lose his job because he kept dead weight around who had to be coddled to put forth effort that other players just want to put forth, for themselves and for the team.

  6. It is very clear that Baxter and his mom and dad are not in the picture at USC. It would probably better for all if he transfer to another school. There is a reason he cannot get on the field…on field production. If he was all that on the field he would play more. At this level you can be a total jackass as long as you produce on the field.
