Questions, Questions

Does USC throw many passes over the middle or is that considered too risky for “a young team?” Everything seems to go wide or down the sideline.
On the other side, are the wide hash marks in college football providing challenges for the defensive schemes and famed Tampa 2 defense?

  1. One of these seasons the defensive coaching staff is going to realize you cannot stop a spread offense using a cover 2!

  2. This goes back to the excuse factor that has permiated this program since Kiffin took over. Last year it was, “we don’t have depth,” this year it is, “we are young and playing freshman.” Either way it adds up to the fact that Kiffin and the old man are not making the adjustments needed to win games. In the words of Einstein, “Insanity is the result of doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome.”

It is too risky for Barkley. He doesn’t look off defenders. Burfict watched his eyes when he got his pick.

Yes. And in college football, you have to account for the QB. The Tampa 2 doesn’t, it assumes all QB’s are like Kerry Collins, have feet of clay, and sit in the pocket all day.
