Time to answer some reader questions.

Do you really think it was worth it to bring Farmer out of redshirt? Do you think his contribution will make the winning difference?
A: I personally do not think it was worth burning his redshirt year. Look at the facts: He’s played two games now and barely played against Notre Dame. And now there are five games left. Is he going to play against Stanford? His ankle prevented him from practicing today. If he was just going to play wide receiver I’d be less against it. But right now I’d have rather used him for a full season his first year.

Scott, there is definitely something not allowing this team to grow. There is no leadership that I can sense. It seems like its a lunchpale crew punching their timecards. SC should have scored 60 points on that CAL team. But we are seeing this week in & week out on how under-acheiving this team is. And in my opinion, this is a coaching staff problem. It doesn’t help that the offensive playcaller feels he has to get fancy inside the red zone and not just “ram” the ball in for a score… My personal view is Lane Kiffin is not a perfectionist and doesn’t spend a lot of time running the same plays over & over again in practice for proficiency and this is why his offense will suddenly get sloppy and stop any momentum they have.
A: This question was asked before Notre Dame so obviously Lane Kiffin will say the offense worked pretty well last weekend. I’m not sure if Lane Kiffin is or isn’t a perfectionist. But a lot of times poor execution is because of poor fundamentals. USC played a pretty clean game against Notre Dame. It will be interesting to see how the Trojans perform against Stanford.

Please explain the actual end results of the 30 scholarship sanction. In one scenario, because each scholarship is good for 4 years the Trojans will be down 10 in year 1, down 20 in year 2, down 30 in year three, down 30 in year 4, down 20 in year 5, down 10 in year six; and will only be able to have a full roster again in year 7; or, are the Trojans allowed to make up the deficit at year 4?
A: Here’s the bottom line: USC can have 75 players on scholarship. So they are going to give out midyear scholarships in addition to the 15 allowed. So they will be down only 10. I’m not sure if they can give out midyear scholarships the following year. So they might be under 75 the next season. But I don’t think it’s as drastic as people think. And this week Lane Kiffin said probation wasn’t as bad as many predicted.

Was leapfrogging a projected redshirt over Dillon Baxter in the depth chart the biggest slam in recent USC history?
A: It was close. Taking Brandon Hance’s number and giving it to Whitney Lewis is still one of the all-timers.

Scott, you had a contest two weeks ago, regarding a picture of Land Kiffin, and it’s obvious that I was the clear winner. What is my prize, and where can I pick it up?
A: You receive a DVD of the UCLA-Arizona game from ESPN.
Hahahaha! DVD of the UCLA-Arizona game. That is great, Scott!
we love you, wolfman, but if you Welsh on BruRob, with one phone call i’ll have 50 Cadre swarming all over the Daily News building…
Poor Slob, SCHOOLED again AND by Scotty.
Might as well throw in a few Neuheisel Nickels for BruinRob while you’re at it. Gotta spend ’em while you still can!
Bahahahahahahhaa bRUINslob!!! BURN!!!! ROFLMAO
Enjoy your video….LOL
Burning Farmer’s redshirt only matters if you think he would have been here in 2015. I think it’s more likely that he’ll be in the NFL.
Bruin Robby taken to the house by Scotty. Has to be an all time slam on a gutty little Bruin. Keep hoping for that division ll football program to get it’s signature win. I keep telling you with scotty’s ideas on how to run a winning program and your guidance Westwood could have a 7 win season.

Scott forgot the best part of the prize… Delivered by a stripper dressed in referee attire and clown shoes.
Really, Scott, really? is this how you pay me back for defending all this time from these buzzards calling for your head?
Charlie, make that call.
“USC played a pretty clean game against Notre Dame.”
As my good friend John McEnroe opined, “YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS”
What game were you watching….you were watching….weren’t you????????????????????????????????
I’m glad Farmer’s playing. He needs the work if he’s going to make the switch to TB. The kid has the perfect size and speed combo to be a great TB. All he needs is experience running in this O. At Cal, he rushed 4 times for 8 yards (and he fumbled too, right?)–not very good but it’s a start. Besides, Tyler & McNeal combined for 153 yards on 28 carries. Farmer also caught a pass for 14 yards (I think it was a swing pass to the left flat, no?). He also returned two kicks for 38 yards. And I believe he’s playing on the KO & Punt coverage teams too, no? At ND, he rushed once for 11 yards (pretty good ave, eh?) and he caught one pass for 9 yards. The run moved the chains & the reception set up 2nd & 1. Oh, and he returned a kick for 21 yards. This kid has a whole lot of potential. USC fans should be happy if they see him contributing through 2013. Who cares if Kiffin blew a chance to have Farmer on the team in 2015?
BruRob, i was going to make the call, but i realized we are going to need the wolfman this weekend to come up with numerous scooops on the Stanford game!!! with the Pious Passer sure to go into his glassy-eyed funk once they fall behind, we need all the scooopin’ power wolf can conjure up!!!
@Charlie, that is so true…question for you, you know how all these troxan fans are always complaining of us being on “their” blog? well, I kinda feel like this is OUR blog and THEY are the trolls, is it just me, or do you also feel that way?
