Morning Buzz

USC freshman George Farmer said he is ready to play Saturday and talks about the decision to play midway through the season.
“It was hard to put my redshirt off and play half of the season, but I have to make the best of it,” Farmer said. “The decision was made for me to play so I live with it. You can’t look back.”

  1. USC should use Farmer similar to how Florida used Harvin. He has the speed and ability to do this and the team needs him to get as many touches as possible. The opposing team would always worry about where he will be lined up.

  2. It’s a moot point since he’ll be in the NFL in 2015. We’ll be lucky if he’s around for the 2014 season.

  3. The fact Farmer wants to go back to reciever makes sense as Woods & Lee are blossoming in Kiffin’s offense and there is, as always, a long-jam at RB. Having 3-dynamic recievers who can get open & run will put enormus pressure on a defensive backfield. Kiffin might be pondering in his mind, “you can’t double team 3 recievers” and a zone can’t cover this many recievers effectively! I wonder if Barkley is thinking the same thing…
