USC v. UCLA

Back by popular demand, a forum that will probably focus on the UCLA coaching search. I mentioned Utah State coach Gary Andersen’s name on twitter because he might be one of those “realistic” choices that emerge after Boise State’s Chris Petersen says no.

  1. Gary Andersen has done a solid job and knocked off his schools rival, but he is not going to cut it for ucla. ASU could take a look. More Mormons in AZ than CA. Paul Rhoades from Iowa State is a better choice if he is willing to leave the Mid-West.

  2. Mike Bellotti is probably on the short list for ASU. He builds a great staff. He could come in and win right away, and then have a succession plan like at Oregon. Mike Leach seems to be the popular pick for Washington State. The lack of facilities hurts UCLA. ASU has great facilities, including a air-conditioned tent for early in the year like the Dallas Cowboys have.

  3. Andersen would be a helluva hire. The guy runs a very potent offense, ucla could do worse than this guy just ask Alabama, he MADE Kyle Wittingham. And there are more Mormons in Cali than AZ, dumbazz

  4. .mownyc………”And there are more Mormons in Cali than AZ”….true by sheer numbers, but I’ve got to think that when looking at percentage of population Arizona is one of the highest.

  5. Utah 68%
    Idaho 26.2%
    Wyoming 11%
    Nevada 6.47%
    Arizona 5.96%
    California has only 2.03%

  6. LOL as a percent of the population, big deal, cali still has more Mormons than Az. And why would it matter to him anyway?

  7. Bruin trolls,

To win the Rose Bowl, UCLA still “controls its own destiny”

Why aren’t any of you making bold claims?

  8. Jethro, what do you mean “TROLLS”? All of them are the one and only SlobDusky. Most bRuins have more class than the douche bag that uses all the handles.

  9. Nobs, in light of your behavior on this blog, I am tempted to egg you on and claim that I am BruinRob (kind of a half-assed “I am Spartacus!”), but BruinRob has posted too much vulgar nonsense here, and I just can’t do it. Also, when Bucket claimed to be posting as W.E.B. Dupree, I found it rather irritating, so I won’t do that to BruinRob.

However, I will say that based on the foul exchanges you and BruinRob have had on this blog, and most especially your vile fantasies about the much-abused urn of ashes (and, now that I think of it, that ugly “J-Boy” business between you and Westwood Rob), I do believe that BruinRob has not sunk so low as you.

  10. WEBfoot, quite simply, F you. Your behavior is lower than low. You are an @$$hole from the word go. Scotty knows I’m an insider and you are nothing. Go back with the Three Little Slobs. BTw, you’re probably JBoy too. Again, F U

  11. The last laugh is on all those bruin fans who keep coming onto this website for no other reason as they are lonely! But the last laugh comes from none other than Rick Neuheisel who actually said UCLA doesn’t support its football program as it does the basketball program. Hardy har har har! And if that isn’t bad enough, the leadership over there is going to let Dan (clueless) Guerrero hire another coach to add onto his 10 years of failure. Already, already…. people are compromising on the level of coaches they think will want to work under Guerrero. What that University needs to do is start from scratch hiring a coach with absolutely no relationship to anyone at this school, a complete stranger. Only then will UCLA havwe a chance to build into a competitor. 50 to zip and it will get worse up at Oregon Friday!

  12. @NOBS, only a delusional psychopathic arse hole would make such accusations of me being BRob or any of the other posters in which you choose to associate me with. Truly you are a complete moron, and I will pray diligently that Scott will remove will remove you from these forums, for you bring nothing but hatred, and division with in our Trojan brotherhood. You truly are an embarrassment to our community.

  13. “F U” — well, that’s pretty much the response I expected from Nobs, who cannot defend his disgraceful behavior.

  14. Nobs says “Scotty knows I’m an insider”, and my source says he is about to start his own blog: Inside Scott Wolf…with Nobs.
