Answer Wednesday!

Time again to answer some reader questions.

Do you think that Matt Barkley’s Christmas gift to the Trojans will be that he is returning for next season? Will he announce his decision on Christmas day?

A: I do not think he will announce anything before January. Right now I would say he is leaning toward turning pro.

Can you discuss USC’s level of interest in Aaron Porter?

A: They never offered him a scholarship and were more interested in linebackers Noor Davis of Leesburg, Fla., not to mention commitJabarai Ruffin and Scott Starr

How about Dan Monson to replace KO?

A: I’m not in favor of a coaching change. However, if one were made, why go to Long Beach State for someone who did not make it at Minnesota? I’m of the opinion that USC, which has unlimited money for coaching hires (especially with the Pac-12’s new TV deal) should hire the best candidates for its football and basketball jobs. So why not get a marquee name?

Because USC cannot get a “marque” name for it’s basketball team, that’s why.

That is insane. There’s no reason why men’s basketball should suck like it does decade after decade. Go hold tryouts in the neighborhoods outside the campus and you’d come up with a better team than we have this year. If Pat Haden would rally the alums like Jerry and Ed to put the bucks in to getting the best head coach and assistants money can buy like they did with Pete Carroll, Norm and Ed, then we would be a top basketball program.

Money talks… you could get half the top ten coaches here at SC for the right dollars tomorrow! Bullshit I dig go go girls.
