Dallas Kelly -doesnt seem like he will ever see the field as a linebacker surpassed by a walk on.
Brian Bauchan -ineligible last year.
Patrick Hall -injuries and ineligibility. Hope he can get a shot this year.
Giovanni Di Poala- injuries and lack of development
David Garness -could not surpass freshmen walk on via depth chart
Semione Vehikte -Doesnt seem to have a position.
Abe Markowitz- Serious injury, former walk on who graduates this year.
Devon Flournoy- Not much playing time since kiffin came in.
A: Most of these players are not injured and those that you mentioned plan to come back and plan. That said, by my count, if USC signs 15 players they will need to free up about five-to-seven scholarships because of the 75-scholarship limit. That means taking away scholarships as you have alluded to. A walk-on is probably the first one who might get targeted, such as linebacker Will Andrew or Markowitz. Or the guys who have not played much. Everyone you mention is probably at risk to some degree but the coaches will make the final decision.

Don’t like it, don’t like it one bit. A player never goes out on the field, giving his all, and purposesly tries to get injured. Any player on the field can get hurt at any time. You just ask he tries as hard as possible to overcome the injury and get back to contributing to the team. If he doesn’t, then that is a different story. If Hall, DiPoala & Markowitz are seen as not trying their best, only then consider the consequences.
Agreed sir. I am actually pulling for all 3 especially Patrick Hall who came in as a highly touted recruit and is still talked about as someone with a bright future. My questioned was based on the reality of the current situation which is we need to clear some space on the current roster for the incoming class. Its inevitable and it will happen in one way or another. Thats the shitty reality of things.
