Bowl Update

I expected a fairly dreadful showing from the Pac-12 when I originally said Oregon and Utah were the best hope for victories. I’m now leaning toward a UCLA victory over Illinois thanks to the fact the Illini are without their best tailback. But I still think 2 is the over/under for Pac-12 postseason wins.

  1. I thought for the uckla-Illini game that 2 was the over-under for those watching and caring.

  2. Yeah, but ucla is without a football team. I think that should give an edge to the team that lost 6 straight by an average of 11 points over the team that lost 3 of its last 4 games by 31 points.

  3. I can’t imagine either team winning. How about a 6-3 final. It is afterall being played in a baseball stadium.

  4. What is truly funny is the bel-airian football players pleased they’re getting the current AZ St. offensive coordinator as one of the new assistants.

Let’s see AZ St. got smashed by Boise St. 56 – 24. One FG in the 1st half by AZ St. against 4 td’s by Boise St. Suddenly the 2nd half unrolls and Osweiler finds his ‘mojo’ and throws 2 td’s but then it’s way too late.

I have to admit based on the ineptitude of the past four years I guess a team with an OOC that got smashed by Boise AND beat USC is proof the school that stole Cal’s fight song is ‘back’!

The last great coach UCLA had was Tommy Prothro – since he left all they have had (save Vermeil) is incompetents esp. Terry ‘the Pirate’ Donahue – man what a pirate he was!

  5. Cal is absolutely embarrassing the Pac-12 right now. I think all UC schools should just pack up and quit men’s football. This is disgraceful and I fear it will come back to bite SC on the butt next year when all the chatter is about how dreadful the rest of the Pac-12 is when SC has the same record as some crummy Big-10/12 school. /frustrated
