  1. Hey, what the hell, if he wants out let him go. His reason is a good one. His family is important to him.

  2. Steve, then he can go play for Purdue. Or Indiana. What kind of Trojan would transfer to Notre frickin Dame?! Shows me the Trojan family never meant anything to him. Can’t say I wish him well.

  3. I think it’s ok to allow him to transfer to ND because 1) it shows that Kiffin/Haden aren’t going to hold these kids hostage for 4 years like Dooley tried to at Tennessee with Arnett and 2) it shows that USC is not afraid to compete!

  4. I agree. Let him go. He has an opportunity to play on an NC team and, given the way the running back situation has gone the past two years under LFK, probably get some quality carries. Family is important. But if you’re college age, and it’s more important than winning, he’d be a distraction. Let him be happy.

  5. i vote: yes!!! let the kid go the “UCLA of the Mid-West”!! sure beats the University of Shouldda-Couldda!!! besisdes when they blow another BCS Champeenship this year, he’ll be ROTFHHMAO like the Cadre will!!!

  6. He’s going to have a great college career, wish it was with us. Best of luck for all but one game a year…

  7. I think his family values are tremendous, obviously, since he is willing to transfer, endure a complete lifestyle change, and sit out a year just to be close to his family.
On the other hand, it’s also obvious that his heart was not completely with USC…so maybe his departure is best for both sides. Good luck Carlisle.
