  1. Scott:
I’m surprised you even gave the Bee credit Scott. Usually it would be “inside sources”. Scott when are you going to mention transparency again with these medical issues?

  2. Well, we can conclude one thing from this, and that is that Armond isn’t in Kiff’s doghouse and the nature of the medical condition isn’t something that Kiffin is uncomfortable about. I’ll go out on a limb and say it’s definitely medical, not a drug or alcohol problem. The latter would be especially personal with the family and even Lane F. Kiffin would know to just leave it the F. alone. That’s why his middle initial is F.

  3. Intriguing. What is insider special ‘ed’ saying now? Oh the great sage that he is predicting all things recruiting…

  4. I hate to be blunt but why is he bothering? Armond has no interest other than finishing whatever academics he has to do and getting the F*ck out of USC and taking brother with him. These 2 are so far off the USC radar there is no point in wasting the time. From all the boards I have read (scout rivals espn etc) their both 60 % notre dame 40 % Auburn 0% or less USC. Armond is pissed that he couldn’t play and I don’t blame him.
Just let them go. CLK needs to be recruiting other players we need like that RB from Arizona and D lineman
and WR’s…of course we had Kelvin York on board until genius pulled his scholarship and we lost him and now are short of RB because our fearless leader left D Baxter in the doghouse for too long and now he is gone too.

Who is going to play RB and WR in 2013 after woods and mcneal are gone? DJ Morgan and devon flournoy??

  5. Armond would be enrolling at one of those schools if they would take him. He’s enrolling in graduate school at USC for the spring. He has to sit out a year if he transfers to a Pac-12 school. Just a hunch, but his family knows his CFB career is over, and USC was doing the right thing for their kid. Armond gets a graduate degree from USC, and Arik has a great CFB experience as a Trojan.

  6. Obviously the only one on this board that really knows the inside story is PUDjones, because that little moron knows everyfukkinthing!

A totally speculative guess imho might be that Armond could possibly have HIV. There’d probably be a policy regarding that and contact sports, that the school has to honor obviously. The total privacy thing is obviously a factoring decision of the immediate family, as it would effect Armonds future anywhere.
The fact that Armond is now into his masters degree studies is great and I salute him for doing this.

Logical thinking may be something like, the anger regarding Armond not being able to play last season and the realization of the facts that it was most probably in his best interests, may have now been realized after a period of time has elapsed and clearer thinking may have prevailed. Maybe Arik is thusly re-considering honoring his committment now that much of the smoke has cleared. There are the factors of the fine team that he’d become a vital cog into, and the tremendously proud and valuable degree that he would have for his lifetime, not to forget that he’d be instantly infused into the greatest pipeline into the NFL that there is in college football.

I sincerely hope that I’m wrong about the HIV guess, but I hope that I’m right about Arik’s re-consideration to honor his committment.

  7. Some folks(at least three of them are physicians)on the Wild West board were speculating that it might be a blood clot problem….

  8. Just wondering if Armond has even been cleared anywhere else to play? We hear ND, Aub, etc.. but has he been medically cleared and recruited at those schools yet?
Continuing his grad school studies at SC tells me that possibly he’s not cleared anywhere else to even enroll.
Has USC determined yet if he’s still disqualified from playing in 2012?

Maybe Carlos has a point about Arik’s possible reconsideration, since he’d then at least be at school with Armond?

  9. I understand that ND is also not clearing Armond Armstead to play. If this is so, then it’s apparently not just SC trying to manipulate Armonds scholarship through the sanctions period. It also means to me that USC is not just being singularly unfairly over protective of Armonds situation. It’s probably the reason that Armond just enrolled into grad school!

That could leave Arik now with manning up and just deciding where he wants to play, without necessarily holding USC responsible of mistreating his older brother! I’ve always been led to believe in the media anyway, that Arik has loved USC for years. Lets see if any of that is still true?

  10. You all shold stop farting on me

Only I can fart and will fart.

I poop and fart at the same time when I am sitting down and pooping.

  11. Sir Fartsalot, I was surprised that you did not make an appearance on Wolf’s recent post “Who Pops First?” It seemed right up your alley.

  12. Armond’s career is not necessarily over, but when to clear him if possible, is also part of the frustration.

While I can’t discuss what he was found to have, I can at least clear up the above that it is NOT HIV.

As I wrote in Wolf’s other post – the “transparency” we want is not possible with HIPPA laws. But again, SC has the foremost expert who rendered care on Armond’s situation. SC literally wrote the book in this field back in the ’60s – so any school that clears him would be foolish to do so.

The Armstead’s are not stupid, they are simply putting blame on SC to protect Armond’s pro career if it’s still possible. Let them have their privacy, Armond has to go through the process, and let’s wish him well even if he can never be cleared to play in Cardinal & Gold again.

    Fight On!

btw – fart guy, I know a lot of gastroenterologists if you need one.

  13. heres my Q to all the posters who say Armond has some serious blood clot or HIV or other problem that honestly will prevent him from playing or transferring

    1. I hear ND won’t clear him- any link or proof?

    2. IF he is medically ineligible and cannot play why are all these schools lining up to get him to transfer?
I mean, they don’t use doctors either? Or medically clear players? So for example, he has a blood clot disorder, ND comes a callin’ and USC doctors say oh, he has a serious blood disorder. And Notre Dame still wants him to transfer anyway? Or Auburn?

    3. Jarvis Jones we all know what happened here

    4. maybe CLK wants his scholarship for someone else who is younger and this is a way to run him off the team a la prater butler? sound a little more likely?

  14. I have a stomach ache today and because of that my poop is not brown its green and in almost liquid form

you farts try to make fun of me, when I fart all over you. Who did fart, but me. I will fart in your mouth

  15. If there wasn’t a little brother as good as he is in football, this story would have ended months ago…

  16. he had a pulmonary embolism. the family and USC doctors disagree on how football could, or could not, exacerbate his medical condition.
