  1. Here’s the Question of the night Wolf.. when are you going to answer the friggin questions in the open forum this week. You didn’t finish last weeks, and your are over 30 questions behind this week and instead of answering what every one wants to know, you fill this blog with the bullshit postings that are simply irrellevant!

  2. FINALLY the LA TImes prints some letters about that filthy dirty Wooden and his program of cheaters. Paterno was WAY behind that filty cheating Wooden. I’ll bet his family knows the truth. Too bad Filty John wouldn’t admit it even though his players did.

  3. Criticizing John Wooden makes SC fans look petty. We really don’t need to go that route. Our greatest coach ever, Pete Carroll, praised Wooden and credited him with helping to turn his life around.

    Carroll: John Wooden transformed career

One recent testimonial for John Wooden resonated even more because the comments made on his behalf before news broke that the former UCLA basketball coach had passed away.

Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll, speaking for a June 3 piece in the Boston Globe, credited Wooden’s book, “A Lifetime of Observations and Reflections On and Off the Court,” for helping to transform his career. Carroll told the Globe he read the book in 2000, after the New England Patriots had fired him and before USC had hired him.

“It hit me immediately that he had been a really successful coach before then, but once he got it all together and got it nailed, nobody could beat him,” Carroll told the Globe. “It just struck me: ‘I dont have my act together like I need to.’ And I knew if I had another opportunity, I wasnt going to get another 16 years. I thought Id already done this. I mean, I knew the importance of it. But then it hit me — ‘Nah, I really dont know.’ ”

  4. Once again- NOBS with his pants around his ankles playing with his Barbie and looking at his dog funny..

  5. I am sure Kif has a handle on it and can deal without our help on this one. Granted I am sure we have helped steer him in the right direction in the past with all of our sage advice, but with what’s left, should be able to steal a good one, or one from Fucla just for the fun of it. Scholies are short this year.

  6. @NOBS…tis better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt.

  7. All this is putting more and more pressure on MB7 to carry the team. That’s not good. This season is our last chance before the sanctions start to really kick in, so we can’t mess around.

  8. Nobs- you were the water boy in high school, weren’t you? The 12th man on offense? The kid in the corner with the dunce hat?

  9. NOBS every now and then you come up with something funny. Criticizing Wooden just shows you are an ignorant no class moron.

Had drinks one time with John & JK McKay and longtime SC announcer Tom Kelly a few years back. Had a great time reminiscing some of the great games in the 60’s and 70’s. I’m a die-hard Bruin, but not a hater. We didn’t talk about SC players getting money, Marv Goux selling players tickets and distributing the cash…we talked about the games. McKay was very entertaining and funny and showed some class. Perhaps you should learn a little yourself.

  10. NC Bruin, LOL!

Someone should really haul this nobs dude away and have him committed. He is truly sick and embarrasses Trojans every day he opens his yap.

  11. Nobs was the guy who paired up with the fat girl at 2 am when the bars closed while his friend got the hot chick. Always the bridesmaid huh Nobs? So you come to these boards to feel like a man. Well I say- “wear those yoda underoos with pride! Keep playing dungeons and dragons!”. Most of all, keep daydreaming some hot chick in Westwood would even give you a passing look.

  13. Actually NOBS took the fat girl at 9PM on Friday night because he already knew it was the best he could do and he could get up early for Saturday AM cartoons.

  14. Guys
Take at easy on my NOBS.

NOBS- now listen to your daddy and go clean the skid marks from your underwear. Maybe then you will be a nicer person.

  15. Inc, I was the guy, after the football game, that picked up your daughter and rode her til I was finished then dumped her @$$. You had to go pick her up. ROFLMAO

  16. P U, I’m not defending Marv. Yes, he was wrong. Yes, we paid players. NO, we didn’t lie like a Mother F’er like Wooden. I ask you: Did any players on Wooden’s team take benefits from boosters? Yes or No.

And don’t tell me St. John didn’t know anything. He controlled that program from the kids socks to game plans. Ohhhhhh, he only didn’t know about Sam Gilbert.

BTW, PU & INC, why change your name from SlobDusky?

  17. Hey NOBS…not Slobdusky or anyone else. And no, Wooden didn’t know what Sam Gilbert was up to…pretty well documented. There are some that think he should have known…and looked the other way. Guess only Wooden knows…but his players believe he never knew.

One thing is CRYSTAL clear…there is definitely nobody on SC’s current BB team getting paid!

SC is favored by 16 over Utah today..want to spot me the points? Have you redeemed enough aluminum cans?

  18. With the limit on SS,why force another back onto roster, unless a good fit can be flipped. In an interview
this week,Farmer made it clear he’s ready to switch back and forth from H back to WR.Having him take carries at HB last season may turn out to have been a huge plus.Plus what about more carries for the FB,we have at least one who had monster seasons running the ball in HS.AS for the coaching staff ,Between WR,RB,TE there is a ton of talent, and dept combined. Will be fun to see new twists.Next year go after the RB,QB,WR slots.

  19. carlosB get some patience man… not everybody can sit in front of a screen & geek it all day. As for you NOBS, congratulations if you wanted to ruin this posting. You got almost everone to ignore the question of this posting.

  20. I heard USC is going after the #1 juco RB in the nation Marion Grice

He’ll be able to contribute right away, and would want him over Foster ANY day.

  21. @ marvgoux

Thank you for a great post, I did not know about Pete Carroll’s admiration for John Wooden, It sheds a new light on my perception on Pete Carroll.

@ Probation U, Well said on your post about Silence.

  22. Scott with the pac 12 being “weak” in everyone’s else estimation, with bottom feeder teams like UCLA wash st and arizona and the Pac 12 champ losing their QB and L James, will this hurt USC’s chances to get into the NC game?

do you think RR and Mora can finally get these loser programs on the righ track??

  23. I think rich rod would be a scarier thought if Oregon didn’t already run a similar offense and do it with as much talent as they do. But give him time on the west coast and he will have the talent to run it well. I personally feel talent wise SCs biggest challenge will be themselves… Keeping it together and staying focused corns full season isn’t easy to do since there is alot of in experience on the roster.

  24. @bushwhite..SC will be ranked in top 5 to start the season, maybe as high as #2. I think it is safe to say that if they go undefeated, they will be in the game. With one loss, that becomes doubtful.

As a Bruin fan, we certainly hope Mora will turn the program around. Certainly like what we have seen so far and are more optimistic. Not as over the top as some…for 2 reasons. 1…signing day hasn’t actually happened yet and 2…he hasn’t coached a game for us yet. Would like to see something tangible before I celebrate..and would like nothing better that a victory over SC…until then…nothing much to talk about..other that a few well-placed barbs every now and then.

It’s a lot more fun when we are competitive with you in FB and when you with us in BB. Think you are further away in BB…but it takes less players in BB to get good. Find a good coach and maybe we can have a couple of rivalries again.

  26. Props to probation U for that… Seriously that’s a true bruin fan… I personally want to see UCLA turn it around too… Rivaly games mean so much more when something is on the line… Not when half the crowd is gone before the end of the game

  27. P U, we’re up 20 in second half and I still wouldn’t bet on our piece of crap team. You are full of crap if you think Wooden didn’t know anything. Laughable. You still didn’t answer yes or no. At least we can admit wrong doing. Be a man and step up. Some of your former players have. BTW, your REALLY believe a coach like filthy Wooded that had been around ALL those years had NO IDEA? Total crap.

  28. LOBS, if you say that former UCLA players have admitted to something, isn’t that good enough? Why does a fan who knows nothing have to admit something they know nothing about?

    Big announcement tomorrow at 3:00

  29. …continuation:
Big announcement today at 3:00 PM a MAJOR recruit will announce his choice. USC fans will not be very happy but UCLA fans “might” be jumping for joy.

  30. Why would Fuclans be jumping for joy? They’ve never had a big recruit before? They’ll still suck and will never be USC. Fight on!

  32. BiteONtoALoss, yup, ever since that 10 year old kid uncovered my identity, my life has changed for the better, I now get sooooo many hits on my dating site, that I hardly have time to post, and being up during one of my “breaks” at 2:06AM is the normal for me…thanks to trojanPete and his 10 year old cousin. mmmmmmuah!!
