Scott, assuming that Kiff brings in 15 guys in Feb. that can play well, and that he does the same in 2013 and 2014, but we are not allowed to bring kids in in Jan. anymore like you said you heard was the case, and assuming injuries to be normal, it’s obvioua we’ll be short-handed,and all of the problems that go with that, but do you think that scenario will still leave us able to compete to be a top 5 team, especially in 2014, 2015 and 2016? Thanx a lot for your input as to just how much the penalties will hurt us under the above scenario, which I expect might well happen.

A: It will be hard to be a consistent top 5 team under any circumstances. But with the scholarship limits, I would say top 20 is definitely feasible. Remember, Kiffin used less than 50 players in games last season. So unless there are major injuries, he will be able to keep USC in good shape the next three years.

A: Because my name is not Fart 0330.

When Marc Tyler publicly embarrassed USC with his alcohol related incident, he was required to take part in some sort of counseling. Was Kevin O’Neill required to go into any sort of counseling when he drunkenly embarrassed USC last year, when he probably should have been watching game film before his biggest game of the year?

A: I’ve asked Pat Haden about this but he declined to answer. I believe he probably did participate in some sort of counseling because there was plenty of speculation during the Pac-10 Tournament that he might not return.

Can you please give us some prediction of committs? Who does USC sign?

A: I think USC will get OT Zach Banner, WR Nelson Agholor and possibly OT Andrus Peat.

  1. Just read that Arik Armstead chose Oregon, I am curious if USC will let Armond follow him up there. I do not think they would let him do that, but if they let AC go to ND, then I think anything is possible.

  2. I whole-heartedly agree Edward! He could be a ticking bomb if he plays again and if he & his family want to risk his life, then let them do it elsewhere. They just won’t come here and try suing SC… Let me just say, thank you Armond Armstead for choosing to be a trojan. If you are smart, get your quality education here. You deserve it.

  3. Just found out that Mark Carrier would leave the NFL for the opportunity to be the secondary coach at USC. The position is currently vacant and I would think the DBs would benefit greatly having someone who has walked in their shoes coaching them. What do you guys think?

  5. BINGO, …Me thinks it was a DUMB question the first time you asked it.

Scooter…what the heck is up? You been doubling up on the medication? Banner, Ahholor, Peat??? Didn’t you also just say Shabazz was a LIKELY to sign on, and that BEN HOWLANDS MOST TRUSTED BEST FRIEND, Jamie Dixon, might be a good $UCks coaching candidate? Scooter….back off the meds and do a little research on the Howland/Dixon relationship! You’re coming off like “THE VILLAGE IDIOT”/Insider, NUBSIE!
    fite on Though!
