Morning Buzz

Defensive end Leonard Williams of Tampa, Fla., told Rivals.com he was down to USC and Florida. However, his high school coach later said he did not trim his list down to two schools.

  1. Wake me up after Wednesday’s signing day and maybe then I will give a rat’s behind about the recruiting “war.”

  2. Uh oh! Looks like the University of Costa Concordia just hit another rock. I would say man the lifeboats but my guess is Captain Kitten is already in one, so every man for himself which is pretty much how your season is going to play out. Every one on the team is going to be hogging the ball looking for the highlight play for the NFL or their transfer video. Face it, no one wants to be at an old, dying program so you’re looking at a bunch of JC transfers and rich kids from Orange County whose mommies and daddies make them play in South Central because they had a rocking time at the frat house one time. Game over, you lose. By the way, did you see the #3 QB just signed with us? If only you had a DT recruit to chase him down, but you don’t!

  3. desperate, the trojans are becoming, i sense.

remind me of Chancellor Palpatine, they do.

right before the Death Star imploded, i mean.

like womp rate leaving a ship, they are, hmmm?

    herh herh herh!

    herh herh herh!

  4. First things first obvious troll.

You probably mean Emperor Palpatine; as soon as he took control from the senate, relinquished the title of Chancellor. Second, he was alive after the Death Star exploded. If you’re talking about the second Death Star, he was dead before it exploded (not imploded), he died when he was thrown by Darth Vader. I assume you mean a womp rat, but as to why a womp rat leaving a ship would be a universally accepted metaphor for desperation, i have no idea. Womp rats routinely leave ships, because they’re mindless creatures. Lastly, you’re an idiot.

  5. I really don’t mind opinions from those who are opposed to SC, when they make sense. Posting comments that are rooted in mindless frustration and bitterness makes no sense at all. Please don’t hide behind the anonymity of the web to vent your obvious short comings Mr bRuin. 12 out of 13. 12 out of 13. 10-2. 50-0. Yep, still hitting rocks and abandoning ship. Pre-season ratings no less than #5. Yep, looks bad. Highest rated avg stars for recruits. Check back on Wednesday and see where the avg ends up, for both schools. You are putting together a good class but let’s translate that to the field where it matters. Need I say again, 12 out of 13?

  6. We’re talking about recruit ratings for one season? Really? How does a UCLA fan have the gall to come on our board and cast dispersions on our program after a FIFTY to NOTHING beat down? We will be preseason ranked in the top 2 guaranteed. Talk about desperate. The absence of Ellis McCarthy and Arik Armstead aren’t going to bring down the Trojans. We are talking about two players during one recruiting year people.

  7. I can’t speak for everyone, but I am desperate. Desperate for another 50-0 beatdown that is.

That 50-0 victory was one of the most lopsided eviscerations of a rival I have ever seen in the history of college sports. The only thing that would be sweeter would be 100-0, which we may well see this coming year.

  8. Hahahahahahaha I LOVE these ucla trolls. They’ve had “killer recruits” before. Yet still suck.
Face it UCLA fans. USC will always be irrelevant in basketball like UCLA will pretty much always be irrelevant in football. Minus a year or two now and then… that’s the way it is!
    FIGHT ON!

  9. See, it’s hard for UCLA to compete in the same town with a program with so much history and tradition in the department of WINNING football games.
    Lmao.
    50-0 won’t go away.

  10. Scott looks like some SC fans over at Rivals hate your guts. How does that make you feel?

I mean one dude compared you to John Wayne Gacy!

“His video reports with some random babe are downright creepy. It’s like watching John Wayne Gacy on ESPN. But he could be a decent fellow who is just out in over his head. Who really knows?, SCGod…

  11. So it turns out Yoda knows as lttle about Star Wars as Bucket knows about sports.

    Schooled again Fred!

  12. That’s right, uscmike, they seem to forget this past decade. Actually, they seem to forget the entire history (or lack thereof) of their football program.
Mediocre on though… and fite fite fite!
And don’t forget to troll on anyway…

UCLA “Champions of the off-season made here”

  13. I admit a certain zealous interest in the recruiting back-and-forth. Sort of like following political election opinion polls. It’s very intriguing, even if we realize deep down that both are a bit of a guess sometimes.

Lawyer John — as usual — hits the mark. The truth is, for all the ups and downs, ‘SC is sure to get its share. We’ll get more than most schools, and, for certain, miss out on more than a few others.

One thing we can all agree on: There is no shortage of talented young football players and it’s a quantum leap in supply from just 20 years ago. There’s more than enough to go around.

  14. Lol this #3 qb in the nation talk is funny I just saw his junior year stats 1800 yards and 20 Tds…. Really? Your celebrating a high school qb who averages 150 yards passing and 2 tds a game? Were supposed to be afraid of this guy? You also had the #4 qb last year how did that work out?
