A Pac-12 coach I spoke to this morning thinks offensive tackle Zach Banner could start next season in Matt Kalil’s spot for USC.

  • USC – 714

Aundrey Walker will have something to say about that…

I heard he’s already lost 30 lbs, and if he stays focused, he’s going to be a terror on the O-Line (most likely replacing Kalil)

  • The Monopoly Is Over Here

USC O-line is servin pancakes next few years…

  • USC owns the Rose Bowl

I don’t see him starting on the O-line yet, but he’ll definitely be a bright spot in the future.

  • Bobo

Hey Wolf, you are getting played but the rest of us aren’t that gullible. With two 5 star LTs still undecided, don’t you think that other Pac12 coaches might not want us to secure one of them thus planting this in your ear so that you’d post it? I’m sure they tried this with the other SC subscription sites but am sure they arent dumb enough to fall for that ploy on the eve of signing day.

  • USC owns the Rose Bowl

@Bobo: Great point… gotta admit I definitely didn’t think of that. And Wolf has been doing this for how long…???

  • Trojan Conquest

This is why I’d be surprised if we get Kyle Murphy. He was quoted as wanting to start as a freshman.

  • snarfy

I love it. The only time Wolf can get a scoop is when he’s being used by other coaches to plant stories. What a fool.

  • W.E.B. Dupree

Wolf must have met Mike Leach for breakfast at Du-par’s.

  • Bluerhino45

Seriously guys I doubt a 17 year old 5 star recruit is checking this blog (no offense wolf) wondering what the Internet warriors have to say…. Lol you guys all believe your words carry that much meaning beyond a few chuckles…. Un real

  • in sheep’s clothing

why would a pac12 coach “plant” that with wolf? how could that(telling wolf) possibly make a difference with other top ol recruits? is it some sort of remote, odd way to negative recruit?

  • Gnossos

    Mono, Pancakes and De-Cleaters!

the only time Scooter gets a scoop is when he visits 31 Flavors.

  • Of course he can start, USC doesn’t have anybody else.

@MONO, USC’s line is serving pancakes next few years? you mean once they “graduate”? what’s so unusual about that? doesn’t every USC graduate work as a cook at the IHOP

  • Bluerhino45

No rob that would be bruin lineman once again… You see Trojan lineman go to this place after they graduate called the NFL and they’re they actualy get to play longer after they’re college days… I know bruin fans don’t get to see they’re players anymore after they grad or flunk out… But trust me that place exists… Maybe your 6’0 185lb qb you wet yourself over may even get a chance to cheer lead for one of those pro teams

  • USC owns the Rose Bowl

Duece Lutui, Charles Brown, Chilo Rachal, Sam Baker, Winston Justice, Tyrone Smith, Ryan Kalil (and soon now Matt Kalil). All playing and most impacting their team greatly (Kalil pro bowler, Smith best on Dallas oline, etc).
YEP all current Trojan O-lineman in the NFL.
Can you name some bRuin lineman, slob?
