Quarterback Cyler Miles of Denver, Colo., told media outlets he was sticking with his commitment to Washington. This means USC, which made a late run at Miles, will not sign a quarterback in this class.

  5. Better Thompson at Washington than Oregon. We need someone to step up and challenge Oregon in the North. Could have been Cal, but their recruiting class is blowing up, they can’t sell their donor seats and the fan base has lost faith in Tedford.

  7. Bucket, while I believe the championship is ultimately SC’s goal, winning the Rose Bowl is definitely OK too! We love winning in the stadium that Fucla loses in every Saturday! Have you ever noticed the plaque in front of your stadium with USC’s name all over it??!!

  13. IMO, signing Cyler would have meant losing Scroggins, Wittek or the other QB whose name escapes me. So, it’s fine. I think QB is the one position we actually have lots of depth at so why go overboard with it? Especially with these sanctions. It’s something they can focus on next year to develop someone.

  25. I’d actually prefer to win the Rose Bowl and the AP title over the NC game and BCS title. All the formats between the beginning of the BCS and the (hopeful) addition of a playoffs are going to have astericks put next to them.

    Michigan needs to win for the 16 years or something and Washington 17 to catch up in the win column. I say push it up to at least two decades.
