Here’s a story on defensive lineman Pia Vatuvei’s late switch from USC to Washington.
“I spent (Tuesday) night focusing on USC and Washington, and I felt good this morning making my call,” Vatuvei said. “I’ll be a defensive end at UW. It excites me because Tosh is a defensive line coach who sent two of his ends into the NFL the last two years.”

He left out the last part of what he was thinking. ( I won’t have too compete as much because USC has too much talent and I know I am not as good as those other guys, so Washington was my place. )

I’ve never seen two coaches get some much attention and love for doing ABSOLUTELY nothing than Tedford and this Tosh Lupoi character. Can someone please tell me what these two clowns have done the last eight years, aside from getting their asses kicked by USC, home and away, and by UCLA at the Rose Bowl. They remind me of Obama. What has he done? Except really screw this country up. The bottom line here is if they were really that good, Cal’s football program would not be the embarrassment that it is. Now that Lupoi is up at UW, what that program go down the toilet as well.
@Jack— Leave Obama out of this. The kid couldn’t hack it at USC, so let him go to UW. Let’s revisit this in three years and see if the kidhas made an impact or not. Regarding Pio and Tosh… has dude ever heard of a guy named Ed Orgeron? A guy who coached such notables as Warren Sapp, Russel Maryland, Cortez Kennedy, Mike Patterson, Shaun Cody, Frosty Rucker, Sedrick Ellis, and more. Tosh may be a smooth talker, but my money is on Coach O when it comes to developing D-linemen for the National Football League. That’s okay though. We have enough DEs, we need some tackles!
