Martin Hired

We tweeted this morning that there was a lot of buzz at Heritage Hall about Tee Martin being hired as wide receivers coach. Now it is official. Martin is best known for playing quarterback at Tennessee. So Lane Kiffin’s coaching tree contiinues to cast a narrow focus.

  1. Funny, everywhere else I read loves the hire for SC. Says he’s a great football mind, monster recruiter, and don’t forget… he did coach Randall Cobb and helped get him from Kentucky to the Packers. What will he do with Marquise Lee, Robert Woods, Nelson Agholor, Darreus Rogers, George Farmer, etc.
    Fight on!

  2. Isn’t it time the Arab spring spreads to this blog and we overthrow the dictator Wolf ?

  3. USC owns the Rose Bowl

Your comments are what we expect from the Daily News USC Sports Reporter. SWolf, from the first day I read your USC blog, I made sure not to pay attention to the blog’s advertisement as payback for the sarcasm you post aimed at the GREATEST UNIVERSITY IN THE WORLD.

How in the world have you managed to stay employed at this newspaper ?? Maybe this will help in some way; take your constant sarcasm aimed at our Trojans, stuff all of it up your A$$, and begin to report information your audience is interested in, the poignant comprehensive type i.e. the status of OL Giovanni Di Poalo, S/RB? Patrick Hall, OLmen Garness and Galten, POSITIVE detailed highlights of the backgrounds of the newly hired football coaches, the names and positions of the 8 Ducks leaving early for the pros.

When all things are considered, SWolf, I am convinced that your WEAK, SARCASTIC, DOWNRIGHT LAZY A$$ needs to be RUN OFF for the sake of this Message Board !!!

    FIGHT ON, TROJAN JUGGERNAUT !!!

  4. “Lane Kiffin’s coaching tree contiinues [sic] to cast a narrow focus.”

Spelling errors aside, that is just horrid prose.

    Trees don’t “cast” things.

And even if they did, they would not “cast” a “focus.”

  5. Speaking of Twitter, I found much better analysis of this coaching move there than I did on this blog or any mainstream news outlet. Anyone using this blog as their primary source for news about USC athletics is really shortchanging themselves.

  6. @Wolf_Fact_Checker seriously, the only reason this guy gets a paycheck for his “work” is because his contrarian schtick is facetious to the point that readers are OBLIGED to disagree and rebuke him. He doesn’t have a great grasp on the English language, his information seeking ability and “sources” are no better than the majority of posters on any USC football message board, and his contrarian bias prevents him from even approaching the most fundamental tenet of journalism: objectivity. Essentially “inside usc” is just a UCLA beat blog under the guise of a cardinal background and a poorly pixelated Tommy Trojan graphic.

I’m sorry Scott Wolf, but you’re just bad at what you do, and it gets old. It’s transparent and I understand why you do it (it’s your meager attempt at relevance), but I wish you’d grow up and actually TRY to be a journalist for once.
