Lane Kiffin should commit more to the D-linemen part of his recruiting. You have said as much Scott. A team with a big bruising physical D-line (LSU, Alabama type) will force any team’s offense, Oregon or otherwise to alter what they call and take some of their strengths away. You see it Scott, I see it. Is Kiffin so blind to this?
A: Ed Orgeron will not let USC sign less than three tackles. I think the difference should be a further attempt to sign linemen, especially tackles, from the South. The SEC seems to get the best defensive tackles lately. USC must sign five d-linemen in my opinion.

One of your recent posts was critical of Kiffin for suggesting to Marqise Lee that he could play b-ball when he was signed up for USC, but Kiffin is now saying the risk of injury is too great. You failed to mention that the circumstances changed since Lee was signed (e.g., he is a star in the making at WR, and the b-ball team was atrocious this year).
So, do you really think Marqise Lee should be playing basketball for USC this season? If not, why make the comment in the first place? Was it just another chance to take a pot shot at Kiffin?
A: I think you misunderstood my original post. Kiffin said he told Lee to play AFTER football season. So I think there was a contradiction in responses.
