USC offensive tackle Matt Kalil measured 6-6.5 and 306 pounds at the NFL combine. He also benchpressed 225 pounds a very respectable 31 times.
Tailback Marc Tyler measured 5-11, 219 pounds. Fullback Rhett Ellison was 6-5, 251 pounds, which should convince teams to move him to his natural position of tight end.

Matt Kalil benched pressed 225 31 times??? what a weakling!!! I won’t say how old I am, but let’s just say that I’m a grandpa, and I can press 225 18 times, so I would expect this huge lineman to press it at least 40 times. What a joke, imagine if USC players weren’t all juiced up on roids??
In Texas, we are watching this new development closely because the only recruits the Nike Ducks recruited on commit day, Feb 1, 2012 were from Texas.
From ESPN , Feb 24, 2012….Three documents releaed by the NCAA suggest that the U of Oregon’s use of three scouting services “did not conform” with NCAA rules, and the Ducks exceeded the number of coaches allowed to recruit, from 2008 to 2011. Also. apparently, in 2010, a payment of $25,000 was made to Willie Lyles and his Houston-based recruiting service. Lyles had a relationship with a player from Texas who committed to Oregon. NO SH*T, AND HOW MANY OTHERS ???
Does anyone in my Home State give a damn about this revelation? I say “No Bowl Games for three years; limit scholarships to 15 for the each of the next 3 years; and let the 2011 UO recruits and current team members walk without taking the one year suspension.”
