Jones Snub

USC point guard Maurice Jones did not get named to the Pac-12 first-or-second team today. It is somewhat surprising because Jones played 38 minutes a game and was probably as valuable to his team as just about any player.
Full list of honors after the jump.

You’re kidding right? No players from the worst team in the league is some sort of upset? When a team manages to get a total of one league win, that team deserves no players on the first or second team.

Which brings up another question… how can there be 10 players on the first team? Only five guys can play at a time. Did the Wolfster screw up or is the Pac-12 really that screwed up that they have double the amount of players on the first team?

  • How does Scott Wolf keep his job?

Subtly, Wolf begins to lay the ground work for an argument that he too deserves some personal recognition despite being a hack journalist.

  • The Monopoly Is Over Here

He’s not enough of a malcontent, and his THC levels were too low. George Dohrman disapproves….

  • USC owns the Rose Bowl

UCLA got nobody on the 1st team?! wasn’t RuinRob just saying how great UCLA hoops is even when they’re average? Now he’ll come leave some cool-guy comment.

    Troll on…

  • NOBS

Who cares? MOJO was a non factor in the Pac12

  • Son of CharIie Bucket

wow, not even one trOXan on any B-Ball team or Hon Mention???

OMG!!! now the trOXans are missing post season play BBall for the third straight year!!!*

baseball has missed post season play for 6 straight years!!!

and finally football, no post season in two years!!!

amazing, a “major” school in the Pac 12 with NO TEAMS in post season play in the 3 major sports for 3 yrs!!!!!

troy has fallen!!! Bounce Pass has ushered in an era of NO POST SEASON PLAY!!!

(*in 2010 the trOXans lost in the PLAY-IN game of the Pac 10 Tourney, thus since they LOST in the Play-in Game, they did not make it INTO the Pac10 Tourney)

SUC owns, I bet if Scott Wolf was to post a poll of who would the readers here prefer to have here, YOU or me, the majority would vote your ass out!! you are boring, your schtick is OLD and not even close to being funny, let alone witty. So, if you want to annoy readers, please make your way to Jon Gold’s blog and annoy them, we Scott Wolf’s readers are tired and bored with your repetitious crap.

    So Rob K.,

Why di you want USC fans to go troll on Jon Gold’s blog?

  • http://www.yahoo.com BruinRob

I couldn’t care less about SUCksters trolling Jon Gold’s blog. Although most of you already do, with the exception of a few like LJ, SUC owns, sureshot, most of you simply post as “anons”…in reality? I don’t give a rat’s if you troll or not, I just asked SUC owns to change his stupid retarded and repetitous “cool” crap that is boring and just plain retarded.

Scott Wolf’s blog is where I choose to post, I love it here, don’t you guys love me here? tehee heee heee

  • USC owns the Rose Bowl

    schammer47 FTW!
RuinBoob: fail. You’re pretty cool posting here constantly though… pathetic troll.

    Troll on though, cool guy

  • Bill

Shouldn’t a “Dynasty of the Ages” at least win a National Championship? Or, at least beat their cross town rival more than four times in a row after being spanked for the previous eight years?

By the way, rankings in the Daily Toejam don’t count!!!

  • USC owns the Rose Bowl

@Bill, you can’t be THAT stupid, you troll (Yes you can–you’re a UCLA fan). USC won the PAC-10 for what, seven straight years? 3 Heismans, too many All-Americans to count, back-to-back AP national championships, etc.
Enjoying seeing USC ranked #1 or #2 heading into the season? Me too!

    Troll on, douchebag!

    Ps. 50-0

  • sureshot

@Bill – aside from two AP Natty’s, SC beat the baby bears in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2005 for seven in a row and then again in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011 for another five and counting.

And your definition of spankage leaves a lot to be desired. ucla beat SC by a total of 57 points in all eight of those games combined and when you consider 7 of those 57 points came in an overtime game, USC actually equaled ucla’s entire 8 year margin of victory in a single evening.

Also, USC has won six BCS games and ucla has won zero.

    FIGHT ON!

  • Karillo

    BruinRob,

If you didn’t want USC fans to troll Gold’s blog then you wouldn’t have asked us to.

Now let’s try this again, why would you say “So, if you want to annoy readers, please make your way to Jon Gold’s blog and annoy them”

  • austingusc

how dumb are you? if you had gone to the games this year, maybe you would have noticed how bad mo jo is. he is awful. he throws up ridiculous shots and is a terrible defender. not only is his defense bad on his guy, but others have to help out on mo jo’s player, causing more points for the other team. he is shooting 33% on the year and has 2.5 turnovers a game. also, guards are supposedly good free throw shooters. mo jo shoots less than 70%. MO JO DID NOT GET SNUBBED

  • ThaiMex

He’ll get his recognition all right…Like at the SUCks Basketball Banquet where he will probably be named “TEAM MVP” (In the Land of the BLIND, the one-eyed man is king!).
A BIG TORGAN FAMILY”fit on” shout out to a bunch of “SPECIAL” (cannot use the word RETARDED) BUDDIES out there.
    FIT ON!
