Lineman Visits

Former Maryland offensive tackle Max Garcia is visiting USC as he looks for a new school. Garcia (6-4, 310) would redshirt and have two years of eligibility remaining. Garcia already visited Ole Miss, Florida and Georgia.
Garcia is attractive to USC because he would not count against the 15 scholarships allowed next February if he transfers.

  1. It might be a great pickup assuming Brice Butler doesn’t poison the waters since they went to the same high school and probably know each other well.

  2. Is he just using us for a fun filled weekend in LA? It says he left Maryland because he wanted to be closer to home…in Georgia!

  3. Since this kid is an OT, Wolf will try to spin this as proof that Kiffin can’t recruit tailbacks.

  4. BTW

    Sirius questshun?

Sord fish steak with bernayse SOSs or bacon scallep with honeysuckl glaz (jelly bunt and creem cookie for yummy time)

  5. The bigger news is Tre Madden’s injury. He fell without any contact and had to be carried off the field. The knee is being examined and word through the grapevine, the coaches are very concerned. I would be too if he couldn’t walk off on his own and was untouched when the injury occurred.

  6. Every single USC football website I have visited has a story on Tre Madden’s injury except for this one. Are you on top of things Scott Wolf?

  7. Obviously McNeal is the starter with DJ Morgan being the likely backup given his starting experience early last season. So I’ll assume the Madden story is getting so much attention (outside of this blog) simply due to the issue of depth? That and the injury hasn’t been revealed yet. Not to mention him not being touched when it happened.
Agholor and Farmer could see some carries like Percy Harvin did out of the backfield for the Gators. I think SC will be just fine.

    Heisman-frontrunner at QB
    All-American WRs
    1,000-yd running back
    Return entire secondary
    Return all linebackers
    Return all kickers
    Kiffin wears a visor.

    Fight on!

  8. USC Owns, what Madden provided was the “big” back that can come in so handy in certain situations, and against certain teams. That is why I’m concerned about the potential loss. I’d be stoked if it turns out to be just some kind of knee sprain and Tre will be ready to go come fall camp.

  9. BruinRob,

I caught your comment a few days back where you said you’d be flexing your USMC tattoo waiting for a fight and I think it’s a statement you need to rescind.

Not the fighting part, you’ve done that before and you’ll probably do it again.. that is what it is, but take back your indirect claim to being a Marine. You’re not, and falsely claiming you are is disrespectful to those men and women who make that commitment to our country.
You could have been eloquently praising God and country but it would still be disrespectful to those that are serving to protect the freedom of us all.

  10. Tre Madden out for season with torn ligament in knee. God damnit. Thank God Wolf is on top of things here.

  11. bRuinSlob calling someone a dork? what a joke.

    TROLL on though, geek

  12. FIGHTON –

Wolf is standing by the fax machine waiting for CJ Spiller’s LOI. He’ll get to less pressing matters like Tre Madden’s injury in a few weeks.

  13. Sorry SUCsters for the loss of Madden. Hate to see kids get hurt like that.

  14. Appreciate the sympathy if it was genuine, spud. Sorry for UCLA sucking at football. Hate for a good crosstown rivalry to go to waste.

  15. Tsk, tsk. Sympathy’s not for you, it’s for him. Don’t like to see any kid hurt. You on the other hand…

  16. LOL. Why would I expect sympathy? I’m not injured.. Madden is. Moron.

  17. SUC owns = stupid moron.
Karrillo = bored, delusional, paranoid, I bet you have wet dreams of me.
    Trojan = Gay Pride.

  18. Mean and nasty, is that what you call that “football” over there in Westwood? LOL

    mean and nasty on!!
