Former Tennessee forward Renaldo Woolridge will visit USC on Friday and the Trojans are considered the frontrunner to land him. The interesting part is Woolridge would be eligible immediately because he will have graduated from Tennessee.
Woolridge, who is 6-8, is the son of former Lakers forward Orlando Woolridge and averaged 4.3 points and 3.3 rebounds last season. He is also considering UNLV, UTEP, Cal and Wake Forest.

I don’t necessarily think that Fontan is going to “save the season”, considering that every starter next year will be different than last year (obviously not implying this team will be great), but they will obviously be better.

Not surprising that Wolf reported this incorrectly about his eligibility on Tuesday.
They couldn’t have been “conserving players for their bowl game” because:
1. You don’t do that in college. Especially in a rival game.
2. The next game was not a bowl game.
3. They didn’t know they were going to a bowl game.
4. In the case that they won, they would have had a much better chance of going to said bowl game.
5. They still got crushed in the next game (Oregon).

That being said, keep in mind they’ll just keep changing their arguments until they work their way back to something in their favor. It appears that the only winning move is not to play.

USC will win a BCS game. I have no way of predicting whether or not the hype will get to their heads and have a let down game, injuries, and what not. If none of those things are an issue… USC will win the BCS championship. I have that faith in my team.
