Directors’ Cup Update

Happy Baby-QB Day
The Baby QB (David Sills) turned 16 this week, which means he is now three years older than when he committed to USC. It’s hard to believe he is still a freshman in high school as long as he has been around.

College football analyst Phil Steele says USC ranks third in the Pac-12 in percentagete of offensive yards retuning.

Memorable Performances
A couple of things to consider during two noteworthy performances over Memorial Day weekend. Wide receiver Marqise Lee jumped a personal best(25-05.5)when he qualified for the NCAA championships. And tennis player Steve Johnson battled a stress fracture in his foot during the team and singles’ competition of the NCAA championships. He will need to take 3-4 weeks off to recover after winning both titles.
Morning Buzz
USC’s made an interesting hire for its new equipment manager. Todd Hewitt will be the Trojans’ equipment manager 47 years after his father, Bill, was hired for the same job at USC. Bill left USC in 1967 for the Rams and Todd succeeded his dad with the Rams in 1986. Todd Hewitt spent last season as Cal’s equipment manager.
