This class could go down as one of the best ever. Would love to see a comparison of classes from the PC era to now. Basically this century. Can’t really rank classes until after the players are gone. There are 2 ways to rank them. The ranking coming in which is irrelevant, and the way the classes pan out on the field. Sounds like a job for NJ šŸ™‚

What’s the day and time he announces he’s transferring to another school? (because of Joke/Joke…..Academics or because he was afraid to compete?) Torgan for life?, Not a Chance.
    Fit on torgan.
Limbo U, where the bar just goes LOWER….

  • ftfo2009

Yeah I’m gonna be real sad the day we find someone who can out-compete a five-star recruit for us.

    Limbo U, 50-0 made here

  • ThalMex

LOL I just got owned by ftfo2009 (see above)!

    Fit on though!

  • ThaiMex

    Fit On!

  • ThalMex

I don’t need to try competing with you, my team does it for me, LOL!

  • BiIl

I am growing tired of all these thaimex’s. You morons need to get your own name.

  • ThaiMex

Hi Bill, my name is ThaiMex, and I hate every single one of you. All of you are fat, retarded, no-lifes who spend every second of their day looking at stupid ass blogs. You are everything bad in the world. Honestly, have any of you ever gotten any pussy? I mean, I guess it’s fun making fun of people because of your own insecurities, but you all take to a whole new level. This is even worse than jerking off to pictures on facebook.

Don’t be a stranger. Just hit me with your best shot. I’m pretty much perfect. I was captain of the football team, and starter on my basketball team. What sports do you play, other than “jack off to naked drawings of the USC football team”? I also get straight A’s, and have a banging hot girlfriend (She just blew me; Shit was SO cash). You are all faggots who should just kill yourselves. Thanks for listening.

  • BiII

I wish for the fake Bill to cease in trying to pass himself off as me. Nobody finds it funny and all you try and do is make me look bad. It is not right and I think that you will pay for this. You are an idiot and have no life trying to post as me. Stop doing it and if you dont trust me you will pay.

TC, Since you asked…Say what you want about Kiffin and Carroll. The guy I want recruiting is Orgeron. Orgeron coordinated the incoming classes of 1999-2005. With five years to play four, those 7 classes went 10-1 against UCLA and 8-3 against Notre Dame. They won the Pac-12 six times, the Rose Bowl 4 times, and the Orange Bowl twice. Orgerons incoming recruits in 1999, 2000, & 2001 (before Carroll) were the programs stars when USC returned to prominence in Carrolls second year in 2002.

Kiffin was the recruiting coordinator for the incoming classes of 2006 and 2007. With five years to play four, the class of 2006 went 4-1 against UCLA and 4-1 against Notre Dame and they won the Pac-12 and Rose Bowl three times. The class of 2007 went 5-0 against UCLA and 4-1 against Notre Dame and they won the Pac-12 twice and won the Rose Bowl twice. While those stats look very good, the better years were 2006-2008 when most of the FR of 2006 and 2007 were not yet playing key roles, and lets face it, UCLA and Notre Dame have not been very good lately.

    B. Carroll took over the recruiting responsibilities for the incoming classes of 2008, 2009, and 2010. Over the past four years those players have gone 4-0 against UCLA and 3-1 against Notre Dame. They won the Pac-12 once and the Rose Bowl once, but those victories came in their freshman year. On the other hand, many of those recruits are still on the roster and projected to start in 2012: Holmes, Martinez, Graf, Grimble, R. Woods, Barkley, McNeal, Uko, Horton, Kennard, Pullard, Bailey, McDonald, and Starling were all recruited by B. Carroll. So 14 of 22 projected starters were recruited by B. Carroll and ten of them were on campus before Kiffin returned at the end of the 2009 season.

Orgeron returned to coordinate the incoming classes of 2011 and 2012, as well as the current class. But most of the 2012 recruits have not even arrived on campus yet and the 2013 recruits have yet to sign letters of intent.

For three years from 1999 to 2001, after years of mediocrity, USC was finally rebuilding under Orgeron. Under Carrolls leadership Orgerons recruits finally returned USC to national prominence in 2002. Assuming USC continues to build off its success in 2011, we will be able to look back on this era with only two down years in 2009 and 2010. Kiffin’s recruits were the leaders on the 2009 and 2010 teams, with B. Carroll’s early recruits also in the mix. Only a few of the last of Orgerons recruits the first time around were still on campus as red-shirt seniors in 2009 and none of them were around in 2010 while eight of his new recruits from his current stint have played their way into projected starting roles in 2012.

  • Sam Gilbert

I know I’ve said it before but NJTrojan really needs to take over this blog.

  • ThalMex

    Completely agree with Sam Gilbert.

Oh and, fit on, of course.

  • Edward

The main reasons top recruits sign with a school are the head coach, system, and University. The job of the recruiting coordinator/staff is to sell the head coach, system, and University. Anyone who doesn’t think Carroll and Kiffen were the reason recruits signed with USC, are nuts, or bruin trolls.

  • NJ Trojan

Edward, I do root for UCLA sometimes, but I’ve never been called a Bruin troll. Of course the HC has a big role in recruiting. But do you realliy think Kiffin had a bigger role in recruiting than Orgeron before the class of 2007? I don’t have inside info like Wolf or maybe you, but I would assume that Kiffin currently relies heavily on Orgeron just like Carroll did.

  • NJ Trojan

    ^I meant before 2006.

  • Edward

NJ, Sorry, I was speaking of Kiffen, as the HC. Orgeron is a brilliant recruiting coordinator, but why would a RB, WR, etc., choose a school because of a DL position coach. As much as Trojan fans like to bash B. Carroll, he could come out looking pretty good if USC has the season they are expected to (trusting your stats). But his recruits signed because of the HC, system, and University, too. And no, I don’t have any inside info. Just go to the media guide,, etc., to check things out…just opinion. Don’t think Wolf has any inside info either.

  • NJ Trojan

Edward: I agree it’s a team effort. There are many important facors in recruiting and the importance and presence of each of those factors varies from program to program. I do believe that B. Carroll brought in some good players and the real problem with 2009 & 2010 was the loss of some key players, Carroll’s relative lack of interest and distractions, and a totally new coaching staff. I’m sure those factors hurt the development of many players and the total in the win column.
