Morning Buzz

USC received a verbal commitment from offensive tackle Jordan Poland, an offensive tackle from the Class of 2014. He is scheduled to enroll in January, 2014.
Meanwhile, the skill players arrive at USC today for a one-day camp. Among those expected to attend is wide receiver Steven Mitchell of Alemany, who enjoyed a big day at Saturday’s Dana Hills seven-on-seven passing tournament, where his team beat Mater Dei in the championship.
Also expected are highly regarded receivers Darrell Daniels of Oakley, Calif., and Demorea Stringfellow of Moreno Valley.

  1. Uuuuh, Scott, we don’t refer to them as “skill” players anymore because linemen, especially left tackles, are as skillful and talented, albeit differently, as the receiving corps.

  2. It should be a good day for the Trojan family, as I suspect we’ll be getting a commitment from one of those “skill” players.

I’m new to this blog, but Mr. Wolf seems to be “Outside USC”.
