People within and outside the Pac-12 have expressed concern over how far the conference remains behind in getting its network ready for an August launch. Some wonder if it is even possible.
Among the issues: The conference hired people from the East Coast who are unfamilar with the area’s broadcast personnel.
Even the idea of basing the network in San Francisco is being questioned when Los Angeles is home to far more technical employees and free-lance camera crews needed for content. And then there is the issue of who is actually carrying the channel . . .

  1. This network will be a joke, period. It’s got too many channels, not enough local talent, SF production ??? HAAAAAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAAAA.

  3. frankly, a bigger concern is the ineptitude of some of our “major” schools! while UCLA, Oregon and Stanford are major forces to be reckoned with, Southern Cal has not had a team make into a postseason tournament in over 2 yrs!!! wow.

    Football, of course is SANCITIONED with extreme prejudice, and Baseball and Basketball are in the cellar and in the midst of all time impotence!!!

    UCLA of course are the Pac 12 Champeeens in Football and Baseball!!! and our Basketball team is a pre-season top three lock!!!

    oh so great to be a Bruin representing the Pac 12!!!!

  6. It is time to question what Larry Scott has done.
    1) New TV package added money, but everyone is getting that.
    2) Utah and Colorado, did they bring in anything or is the pie just diveded by 12 instead of 10?
    3) Lame Friday night football championship game, giving schools only 6 days prep time.
    4) Mid Season Stanford v. Cal game.
    5) Network that appears it will be impossible to see.

  7. Tell me more about how you’re Pac-12 champions after getting blown out in the championship game. I didn’t realize the champion was chosen based on whoever scored the least points!

    Or maybe they just reported the game wrong – that means you must have played in the rose bowl, right? Which is like totally weird because I recall Oregon playing Wisconsin in the rose bowl, but whatever, I’m sure you’re right that UCLA was PAC-12 Champions.

    I am completely confident that whoever the PAC-12 champion was, they weren’t beaten 20-14 in the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl. Because something like that wouldn’t be embarrassing for the school. Like having the worst bowl record in forever. Enjoy those meds though!

    Man, I wish USC had some kind of ‘preseason top-three lock’ team. Oh, we do? What, we already are a top three preseason team? Weird, I’ve never Bucket mention that!

    USC: it sucks to have a 12-1 record against your rival in the last 13 years.
