Ruiz Signs

Bishop Amat iinfielder Rio Ruiz signed a contract with the Houston Astros that includes a bonus of a reported $1.85 million. Ruiz, who was going to play at USC if he did not turn pro, was sidelined during the season following surgery to remove a blood clot.

Ruiz verbals as a sophomore his love for the Trojans which is a worthless gesture by a kid at that age. Two out of four big recruits have signed with the pros so far.
