Early Offer

USC’s offered a basketball scholarship to guard Devearl Ramsey, an incoming freshman at Sierra Canyon in Chatsworth.

  1. If were gonna offer a young guard could we maybe try Aaron Holiday. Kid is ridiculously talented and older brother seems to be ok with the Sixers. Oh and Holiday just tore his ass up the other night in summer league game. Just saying.

  2. The better guard in SoCal is Marcus Lovett at 5-11′ who was second in the country in freshman scoring last season avg. around 32 ppg. He plays for Providence HS in Burbank. He out dueled Holiday 45 to 27 in head to head competition, and can shoot the lights out of the treys. Holidays are ‘ruins so forget about that family. O’Neill and staff have lost their collective minds with a 2nd offer to an incoming high school frosh. They will not be here to coach the junior varsity in two years let alone the big boys.

  3. I gotta believe these High School freshman will be able to improve on last seasons 2 win, in Conference, Team. But then..you must remember…At LIMBO U, There’s ALWAYS ROOM TO GO LOWER!
Just remembered…it’s been about a week since ANY Torgan knucklehead made Headlines for doing something Stupid (talking to god and setting apartments on fire!). I guess we’ll have to wait another few days to see which former/current Torgan gets featured on T.V.’s “COP’S”.
You guy’s need to continue to “FIT ON” and rally behind all your tradition (Sanctions, The Gay bronze Horse, The Drapes). It’s not like you don’t have anything! Last year this board was buzzing about Dillon (Smoke 2 Joints) Baxter…his blazing speed, great moves. Torgans were all kinds of excited about Prater, “bone to bone” markeith, Tyler (of spittin and gropin’, fame), and One Year Later? I’m just not feelin’ it fella’s.
Maybe we need to petition Wolfman to get Nubsie (and his boyfriend) re-instated to bring back a little dignity, “class”, and some SWAGGER to this very fine SUCks site.
    Fit on Torgan!

  4. ESPN just wrote this:

The Pac-12 has won just one BCS national title (though just about everyone believes USC to be the “true” 2003 national champion). So that has to be conference’s best BCS moment: USC’s undisputed 2004 championship.

The 2004 Trojans were dominant with quarterback Matt Leinart, running backs Reggie Bush and LenDale White, receivers Steve Smith and Dwayne Jarrett, and a defense led by defensive tackles Shaun Cody and Mike Patterson and linebacker Lofa Tatupu. They outscored foes 496 to 169.

In the BCS national title game in Miami, they stomped Oklahoma 55-19 and made USC repeat national champs under Pete Carroll.

  5. ThaiMex,
I don’t mind that you make fun of USC basketball because I just remind my self how bad UCLA football is. They have to watch their hated rival, the Trojans of USC, brag about most all-time wins in the Grandaddy of ’em all! The Rose Bowl! Does it suck watching your team lose there every Saturday knowing all the great Rose Bowls SC has won there? HA!
Let’s move on to basketball. Seeing as UCLA is a BASKETBALL SCHOOL. Why haven’t the bRUINs won a champeeenship in 20 years? None before that since the 70s? Ouch!!!
    “Basketball school” on, though! (chortle)

    Oh yeah, 50-0

  6. It was the 1995 UCKLA team with the O’Bannon brothers that brought a title in 1996, 16 long years ago. Before that it was Wooden’s 1974 team that won the 1975 title.

So that is 2 titles in 37 years.

Or in other words, a title every 20 years or so, just like clockwork.

Ask any savvy basketball kid about UCKLA outside of Southern California, and you will get a “Uuuuuuh, what about ’em? They’re not that good. They didn’t even make the 65 team NCAAs last year.”
