Where’s Lee?

Robert Woods, but not Marqise Lee, made the watch list for the Biletnikoff Award, which goes to the “nation’s outstanding receiver.”

  1. it IS just a watch list – even the website says they add athletes based on performance during the season. that being said, Lee really should be on there – other teams have 2 players on the list, and there is another sophomore on the list as well. i’d be willing to bet he’s on the list by the middle of the season if he kicks as much ass as last year – especially if woods doesnt fully recover in a timely manner.

  2. Marquis Lee is actually on the “warning” list. Everyone who has spent significant time outside of SoCal knows that a “warning” is more severe than a “watch”.

  3. I sent then an email, asking for clarification as to why Lee was left off the list

  4. Lee, you mean the guy who couldn’t hold Farmer’s jock in high school. I think he will be lucky to see the field this year.

Thanks to my grandson for helping me post this.

  5. I’d take the tandem of Woods and Lee against any other pair of WR’s in the nation. The fact that there are 6 or 7 schools with two pics while omitting Lee is a joke.

  6. Christ, would you do a little work once in a while? We had this same discussion about Woods this time last year and it was pointed out that while sophomores can be finalists for and even win the award, only upperclassmen make the watch list.
