Practice Report

Lane Kiffin said there was no change in the status of cornerback Isiah Wiley or linebacker Marqise Simmons, who are waiting to be cleared academically. Wide receiver Darreus Rogers is still waiting to be cleared by the NCAA.
Matt Barkley and Robert Woods enjoyed a big on the practice field. Tailback Javorios Allen also looked better the past two days. Tight end Xavier Grimble’s dropped some passes but Kiffin said he was not concerned.
Freshman offensive tackle Zach Banner said he currently weighs 333 pounds to go with his 6-9 frame. Banner said he prefers right tackle, which is where he is playing after an initial stint at left tackle.
Defensive tackle Leonard Williams said the transition to college football is not as difficult as he expected. He is starting on goal-line defense and backing up George Uko at tackle.
Tailback D.J. Morgan practiced after suffering a possible knee injury earlier in the week but Kiffin said he fought through it.

  • How does Scott Wolf keep his job?

Last week, Wolf makes a big deal about Buck Allen’s name being misspelled in the media guide. And then he misspells his name! But more importantly, I know I’m not the only pleased to read that Matt Barkley and Robert Woods enjoyed a big…burrito? nap? what Wolf? on the practice field. Even if someone tried to suck at his job, he wouldn’t be as bad at it as Wolf.

Enjoyed a big what?….proof read your shit Wolfman……

Sounds like a lazy effort on your part

The conductor of this Daily News sports blog Scott Wolf is an imbecile. Poor grammar and spelling is unacceptable for a professional journalist. If these errors continue then I may consider dismissing this sports blog, and it will no longer have the privilege of me being a viewer.

@Bill: You are right. Wolf’s laughable blog is not worthy of your attention. You have way more important things to do than read and comment on this drivel riddled with poor grammar and misspelling. Good luck to your Bruins this season. It would be nice to see them return to their former winning ways and raise the profile of the conference. Same goes for Washington. USC, Oregon, and surprisingly Stanford have been carrying the conference’s water for too long. Just think about how many otions you could have traded while reading this comment.

  • W.E.B. Dupree

NJ Trojan, don’t worry, Bill can multi-task. While he was commenting on this blog, he was also trading options, surfing for porn, and planning a special Labor Day trip to Temecula.

This will not be forgotten. You will pay for your disrespect.

Now how the heck was that disrespectful? I said your time was more vaulable than the rest of ours, I said I was hoping that the Bruins would see more success this year, and unlike the folks who seem to think you work in the drive through window at a Jack-in-the-Box I’m buying your claim to be a very successful options trader. And I believe W.E.B. Dupree is a man of the cloth…
