The Pete Carroll Patio

This is the tribute Pete Carroll gets at the new John McKay Center. A plaque and a “veranda.” Carroll was the guy responsible for the building. He pushed for it and helped raise money for it. Hail Caesar!

  • How does Scott Wolf keep his job?

The tribute to Wolf is a skid mark in the basement shitter.

  • steve49

I still can’t believe Scott didn’t move to Seattle when PC left.

  • LovetheCapper

49, Pete thought Scott was a putz.

  • Ex-Cop

Yeah, and if he’d gotten any more then we’d be reading about how Carroll didn’t deserve what he got, led to sanctions, left for the NFL, blah, blah, blah.

What did John Robinson get? Oh, right. Once the building is named there’s not much left. At least PC got something. I think it’s great that they named it for McKay instead of some big time donor. In a couple of decades Pete will get his turn.

    It’s a start!

” The tribute to Wolf is a skid mark in the basement shitter.”

Cap, Scott was (and is) a putz.

How does… = for the win

“The tribute to Wolf is a skid mark in the basement shitter.” HDSWKHJ, that comment needs a place of honor, as it was PERFECT! Wolfeee, please have your mom print that comment out, so that she can hang it next to your finger paintings on the refrigerator door.

Looks like they left a key “accomplishment” off good ol Petes plaque:

Holds NCAA FBS record for winning most games in a 4 year period without winning a National Championship in that span (2005-2008).

How could his ego allow that to happen?

  • USC Anteater

Considering that (at the time) we incurred the largest NCAA sanctions since SMU under his watch and then conveniently left to pursue his NFL dreams as the boom was being lowered, getting a veranda named after him is pretty good. If he had stayed and faced the music they might have named the entire building after him. Guaranteed we won’t be seeing the Reggie Bush veranda any time soon.

This is right next to the Mike Garrett Memorial Shitter. For toilet paper, they use the 8 failed Bar Exams from old Iron Head Mike.

NCAA sanctions say that we can’t have that #5 veranda. I thought it sucked he left, but I appreciated him coming to the hearing, the petition, etc. I thought it showed that he cared at least a little. Funny to think that this all never would have happened if Reggie just paid those guys 300k. That’s a drop in the bucket for him; Maurice Jones has incurred way more than that in fines from this holdout.

They don’t want to use up all their potential memorializing and donation-soliciting in one shot. There will always be more buildings to be built, more $ needed for this or that. Especially if things take a bad turn with Kiffin, and if he gets followed by a chain of bad or mediocre coaches, memories of Pete may get fonder and fonder. In our lifetimes, I expect we’ll all receive emails and letters asking us to donate money for the Pete Carroll Center for Football Sciences or who knows what else. Maybe they will tie that into a new medical school or neuroscience facility for studying concussions. That’s not so hard to picture, actually.

  • LovetheCapper

And guess what was on the toilet paper….that’s right: goo goo gal.

  • I DIg Go Go Girls

Cum from your mouth after you blew MG again Crapper ? Or was it KY after you ass slammed him ?

  • LovetheCapper

goo goo gal, stop getting into a battle of wit half-armed! You’re over your head. Get back to your Atari game.
