Rain Delay History

The last time a USC game was delayed by rain, as opposed to a game being stopped was 97 years ago. USC’s first game against Oregon was delayed two days by rain back in 1915. Originally scheduled for Nov. 6th, it was delayed until the following Monday afternoon, Nov. 8th. USC lost 34-0 before 2,300 at Bovard Field.
Many of you probably remember USC’s game at Ohio State was stopped — not delayed — by thunderstorms in 1990 with 2:36 left in the game. The Trojans defeated the Buckeyes, 35-26.
