    Yeah, well, nobody thought we’d come out of that season with 2 losses as late as the beginning of November. We weren’t supposed to be able to compete with Stanford or Oregon. We almost beat both. It’s a team game, Curtis. That loss is not on you by any means. #FTFO

    Seems to me, elite athletes have an innate ability to control their emotions in order to perform. This makes them different from the rest of us.

    Their relationship to the game — especially a team game — is a richer and more profound experience. I’ve always thought they take a certain satisfaction in actually playing the sport and doing what they do best. McNeal also excelled in the aftermath … that must have helped.

    Perhaps that takes some of the sting out of what for the rest of us is a heartbreaking loss?

    the computer models we run in tree house HQ had the Trojans dream season ending with a win in Florida, much later in the season, but now i think they will dominate much sooner then i thought!! the Trojans sound like they are believing in themselves!!!
