Morning Buzz

Did USC think Stanford would be a fairly easy opponent? Meanwhile, USC coach Lane Kiffin said he thinks the Trojans will overcome the early setback. Link here.

you maintain your classy approach of not mentioning the REAL reason the trOXans lost to the Trees!!

well, you can continue to take a knee, cause the LAT is AAAAAALL over it!!! another article today about how Kiff continues to deny that his weeklong distraction of trying to teach the wolfman a lesson…..only to have it all blow up in his face, caused a teamwide distraction for players and coaches!!!

just desserts, i say for all the Nabobs who dis’ you in your own house!!

  4. sUCkLA is 3-0 for the first time in forever and these trolls still obsess over SC football. Act like you’ve been there before trolls. I know you haven’t but at least act like it.

  5. Man wolf pisskes me off sometimes with his assinine questions. Stanford is as Stanford does. We all know that. Kiff tried his best. Let it be.

    WE ARE SC!!! Fight ON!!

  6. The remarks by Telfer appear to be self-critical and very appropriate. It seems to me the kid is being very mature suggesting that USC came in with a superior attitude and took SU too lightly–that USC wasnt prepared to face what SU threw at them. If thats the correct context then the players and coaches should share some blame for not having the right mindset in facing SU. Despite the slogan they apparently bought into the hype and forgot about the prep. Kiffin should be following Telfers lead.

  7. The coaches and players should stop worrying about winning the BCS & focus on winning the P12. That should begin by regrouping (hopefully theyve already done this), strengthening the OL or helping it out (lets hope the coaches have more of a plan than just starting a true FR at LT) and beating Cal.

USC can still have a good and possibly great season. They got the snot beat out of them at ASU & lost a thriller at SU last year. This year they got the snot beat out of them at SU & maybe theyll lose a thriller at AZ or vs OR. But if they beat UCLA, beat ND & win the P12S, well that would be pretty darn good. Depending on the outcome of the next two games (the P12 CG & bowl game) USC would have either a good season or a great season. It has to start with a win vs Cal.

  8. One, two, three trolling comments, I count.

Yet, only one actual troll do I count

(a bummer to only get to count to 1, for a counting aficionado like myself).

One, two, three comments under different handles in…

(hold you on you must, while some math I do)

    …in 28 minutes, I see.

A good time was had by “all” in mom’s basement this morning, I sense.

  9. Does anyone honestly think we underestimated the Indians after they beat us 3 straight years in a row previously including putting 55 on us in our own stadium at our Homecoming game? Next you’ll be telling me a video caused the Muslims to kill our ambassador to Libya.

  10. @marvgoux: Yes, I suspect the Trojans, from Kiffin to the players to the equipment managers, thought so much of themselves that they ended up taking the Cardinal too lightly. The entire CF world did. While I was sitting around reading magazines all day I went through the likely draft prospects of SU’s D two-deep and compared that to the likely draft prospects of USC’s O two-deep. USC had an edge but the only clear edge was at QB & WR. Otherwise the two units matched up surprisingly evenly. But I didn’t let it bother me because every talking head out there was saying USC would win big over SU without Luck. The Trojans should have known better but bought into all the hype just like we alumns and fans did. My little 7 year old was sitting in my lap during the 3rd Q when SU really started to assert their will and he asked who was going to win. Truly believing that Barkley was eventually going to hit Lee and/or Woods for another great play I told him not to worry. Thankfully he fell asleep right after the 4th Q began.

  11. NJ, next to Scotty, you are the biggest douche bag here. Who gives one $h!t what YOU think? Can’t believe anyone would waste all that time on a stupid magazine. Putz.

  12. Looks like someone has hacked the Capper’s account again; the real Nobs would never say something so uncouth.

  13. Bucket,

I’ve been telling you for years to consolidate your many characters into one hybrid and now someone has beaten you to it and mocked you at the same time. Too bad.
The only thing missing from this trio is a little Hungarian accent.
Not to worry though, you still have many others that you can combine yourself.
