Can USC bounce back against Cal this weekend? Can Cal possibly do something it hasn’t done the past two years and pose a legitimate challenge? Will there be any lingering fallout from the Stanford game?
“It humbled us,” USC linebacker Hayes Pullard said. Link here.

  1. Jeff Tedford showed last week why he has been such a disappointment as a head coach. Given a chance to get a signature win against a good Ohio State team in Columbus, he choked. Say what you will about Lane Kiffin, he would have gone for it on 4th and one on the 20 with 4 minutes left in the game. Instead he called timeout and trotted out his place kicker who had badly missed two field goals from the same distance. SC should roll against Tedford’s demoralized Bears team after watching their coach bumble away an upset win.

  2. Hit the nail on the head gotroy. That was an embarrassment.. to travel there and play well enough to win only to choke it away? Pisses me off. That’s why our conference gets no respect and USC looks to have a tougher road back to Miami for the BCS than, say, an SEC team (even though that conference’s depth is pitiful this year. Arkansas (0-2 with loss to UL-Monroe?) was supposed to contend for a natty? Ha.

Thank goodness UCLA seems to be picking up some slack, maybe we’ll get a good game this year. No, we will get a good game. Even if the Bruins start falling off a bit (as usual), they’ll be fired up to play SC. Can’t wait.

    Trojans roll Cal tomorrow.. BIG.

    Fight on!

  3. wolf-Gate is still the tail wagging this trOXans dog!!!

the LAT has yet ANOTHER story about wolf-Gate and how it has thrown the trOXans lofty goals into an inexorable tail-spin!!!

    wolfman, you’ve done it AGAIN!!!

as for the game, ESPN has predicted a Cal upset….as for the Cadre, our position is, that while Cal has as good athletes as Southern Cal, Tedford will always find a way to lose a big game.

the other question is the Pious Passer’s fragile mental state…if they get any pressure on him, or any kind of lead, Cal will win.

  4. I guess Tedford is lucky that this is no longer a big game!

Maybe Barkeley can hit the side of a golf cart now that there is no pressure on him any more!

  5. Assuming USC beats Cal, I like the way the schedule shapes up. They have 12 days to prep for at UT. They have 9 to prep for at WA. They get CO (the 1 team in P12 you can probably sleep on) at home before at AZ (which will be coming off WA). Then USC plays OR at home. OR will be coming off CO and that game has been circled in red on both calendars. ASU is next up at the Coliseum, then USC plays at UCLA followed by the home finale vs ND.

  6. NL Trojan,

I really hate November. Love it for the excitement, but worried about having to play UCLA/Notre Dame/Pac-12 Championship (on back-to-back-to-back weeks) if all three teams are surging. Could be a rough month mentally on the team. Should be fun though.

    Fight on!

  7. Notice how Bucket was up early putting his usual tired stuff out there, trying desperately to get a response from somebody but nobody has bitten.
It’s like him getting up early and putting all his junk on the front lawn for a yard sale. It’s dark now and nobody even slowed down to look because they know it’s all rubbish.

  8. SUC OWNS, NO WORRIES, USC WILL NOT BE PLAYING FOR THE PAC-12 TITLE AGAIN.

@JETHRO, WE FINALLY HAVE ENOUGH FINGERS AND TOES TO COUNT OUR POSITION IN THE RANKINGS, YAY!!! BUT I’M WORRIED ABOUT YOU!!! LOOKS LIKE YOU’RE GONNA HAVE TO COMBINE YOUR LIMBS TOGETHER WITH SUC OWNS BY THE TIME THE NEXT RANKINGS COME OUT. OUCH!!! LMFAO

  10. Rob, Rob, Rob,

Don’t you feel silly now after all the shouting and the double post?

You make this too easy because I don’t even have to respond.
