Why has USC’s offense struggled so much this season?
“They don’t adjust to what the defenses are doing,” said a former Pac-12 coach that asked not to be identified. “The question to ask if you face a new defense is, what do you do from an adjustment standpoint?”

    No sh*t. Tell us something we don’t already know. How about having an OC in the press box who can see everything the D is doing and make adjustments. The middle with the TEs should be a go to all game.

    How many years… how many games did Lane Kiffin observe what PC & his staff were doing during halftime… how many? Is Kiffin so convinced that whatever gameplan he creates, it will succeed no matter what the other side is doing? That is so naive it becomes insane if true! Seems he & James Cregg are preventing this offense (and ultimately the whole team)its ability to adjust and be successful. If this persists, Kiffin will never go undefeated and have a chance for a NC. I have seen this before… a young HC does his thing because of his ego and then realizing it is handicapping the team, hires a OC. How long will it take Kiffin to realize this?

    The most potent offensive attack is coming from an L.A. school, #1 in the nation in total Offense, and the “other” L.A. school is #81 – 80 spots below…who would thought the #1 offense would play in Westwood, and the #81 offense at South Central?

    There are a total of 120 teams playing big boy football, with that being said, the Bruin have gone up against the #119 and #110 ranked defenses

    What happened at home against Oregon, there D is ranked #66 and the Bruins could only come up with 3 total rushing first downs, plus they were shutout for 2 quarters

    At least Stanford’s D is ranked in the top 20

    I actually think the Utah game will be interesting for the Bruins, because I’m not sure (I have watched like 1 quarter of ucla ball) if they match up well against the Utes. We’ll probably know more by Friday lol.

    Typical lack of bRuin reading and statistical comprehension. That link above shows UCLA is #1 in net yards, not “offense.” That is still impressive. But when the number two and three teams on that list are Nevada and Marshall, doesn’t that give you pause? Alabama is #49 in net total yards, and they still seem to be doing pretty well…For that matter, Oregon State, the team that BEAT YOU, is #106, well below USC.

    ^^^ good points, as for UCLA’s lower ranking for UCLA as opposed to USC, it’s very simple, UCLA has to prove themselves and only winning with consistancy will erase any doubts. But our success up to this point, has not made us Bruin fans, think for one minute that we have a superior team than USC’s, yet. Until USC loses some conference games, and continue to win, not doubt it’s USC title to lose.
