Is the O-Line the biggest disappointment this year?
By my count 63 Trojans played at Utah. Please tell us which of the following 10 players did not make the trip to Utah:

Blackwell
Thomas
Allen
Simmons

Scott – although I’m a bruin, and thus smarter than most posters here, I’m also able to admit that SC is a good team. That said, the team that’s falling behind early to Utah isn’t a juggernaut by any stretch. What’s the difference between this year’s team and the great teams of Pete’s past?

Scott, is it true that you have considered leaving the Daily News to pursue a lucrative career as a “before” model in the testosterone supplement industry? If so, perhaps your good friend Pete Carroll could be the “after” model. That would sell a lot of product, don’t you think?
If UCLA could ever find funding to build a new $70 million, 110000-square-foot athletic and academic facility like the John McKay Center, who would they name it after?
Who do you generally root for in the USC-UCLA game?
What does CLK think of his offensive play calling thus far this season? Does he feel like he has made good second half adjustments?
Why did the Trojans come out so flat Thursday against arguably one of the worst Utah teams of the last 2 decades, are they down about the Stanford loss which knocked us out of the top ten, or is it something else, like the flu bug, midterms, etc.? It’s getting frustrating watching all this future NFL talent underperform week after week.
Does Kiffin believe in passing to open up the run ?

The answer to your question is quite simple in that it doesn’t need to be directly answered at all. You should stop and take the time to enjoy the journey.
These aren’t NFL pros making a ridiculously large salary to play a game professionally as a true JOB, these are student-athletes that are trying to enjoy being young, college, and having fun with guys that they hang out with outside of practice and don’t have families to take care of.
We can’t control what Kiffin calls, how they prepare, and who votes us where. They played well after an awful start against Utah and will continue to improve as the season progresses towards our big November games. Calm down and stop being those fans that these young kids PLAYING ON THE FIELD despise. They complain on Twitter about the fans that demand everything of them, and you sir are one of them.

Now that CLK has spurned you publicly, are you trying to bring the program down? How would you feel if you were single handily responsible for reporting a story like the Yahoo one on RB5? What would CLK think of you then?

LBC, with all due respect, you simply don’t understand USC football. USC football is about national championships. When we aren’t winning championships we are building towards winning championships. If we aren’t building toward national titles, then we need to make a change. We did that with Paul Hackett and brought in a winner in Pete Carroll. Now Lane has been given the honor of coaching and he has a senior Heisman Trophy quarterback and all the talent one could possibly hope for and he is struggling to beat teams Northwestern beats. That is simply not acceptable to true Trojans. Going 9-3 and playing in the Emerald Bowl are the dreams of ruins, not Trojans. The players loved all the hype and accolades before the season began and it’s understandable they are whining now that they haven’t live up to it with the inexplicable loss to a mediocre Stanford team. But expectations come with being best program in the land.
There. Barkley with a come from behind win. Will you drop it now? Or will you find a way of saying it wasn’t a signature come from behind win because there was a whole game left to play?
Is it possible to have a “signature win” against a team that lost to lowly Utah State and is Special Teams Coach John Baxter a dead man walking since you reported that “Kiffin said USC’s special teams were probably the worst since he arrived three years ago, referring to penalties and other mistakes, not to mention two missed field goals”?

Is bringing down football programs by reporting about potential violations the new schtick that you media puppets are gravitating towards? I mean it makes sense, create a story to sell papers or get online website hits. It’s all about the bucks isn’t it Wolfie. Ah, what happened to the good ol days when the media had a touch of integrity and creativeness.
Looking at USC’s next 7 games, the Colorado game is the only gimme with the other 6 real possibilities for losses. Say Kiffin drops 4 of those games, would that put him in danger of getting canned or at just a real hot fire under his butt for next season ?
Do you find it hilarious when some fans say that the media should act with “a touch of integrity” by looking the other way at NCAA violations?
Is Kiffin’s constant whining about 75 scholarships, his penchant for publicly throwing players under the bus, his longing for kids he couldn’t get in because of the limits, his petty feud with you over nothing and this team’s struggles, and I say that meaning that not one game this year should have been close, starting to wear on people in HH as well as the high profile donors ?
Do you think Kiffin will consider bringing in Sarkisian if he is let go after this season (that is if Washington has another let down season)?

Last time I looked we have 18 commits–plus Dareus Rogers—so 19. I think we can only take 17 cuz of Redd. What is your guess as to how many of the 19 we actually take, considering we may find some guys we like better than the 19? I’m guessing maybe 12-14, and wondered what your thoughts were. Scott, This year’s team is not going to be able to stay with the better teams still on the schedule unless the run-blocking gets consistently better.I haven’t seen an improvement of consistent O-line blocking (other than protecting the QB) since LK has been the HC. I am not alone in this assessment. I think I read somewhere that James Cregg has a family connection with the Kiffins, but I may be wrong. However, since Cregg came wth LK from Tennessee, are we assume as long as LK is HC, James Cregg will coach the O-line?

wolfman, i think we both know the trOXan football program is on the way down. a few more losses this year and it’s official. and once Better Booty graduates, it’s all over. fans turned on Kiff after one loss, a few more and he’s cooked. and Bounce Pass Haden will never risk his trOXan legacy for the Kiffs.
