Matt Barkley did not sound thrilled with the idea that Lane Kiffin is reluctant to throw on third-and-long because he does not want Barkley getting hit by opposing defenses.

This is more of a statement about the Oline, not Barkley. Barkley is the same as last year; the oline is not.
Sounds like Kiffin has some trouble in the ranks. Lee looked less than thrilled Sat, Woods wasn’t happy after the game and now this from Barkley.

I was thinking along the lines that Kiffin was purposely witholding a lot of the playbook (he seems to like being secretive)to use on the tougher opponents later in the schedule. Certainly these plays he has been using doesn’t show a lot of imagination.
So, if Kiffin doesn’t show more imagination in the coming weeks, what will you think then ?
