Sunday Night With Kiffin

Probably nothing said to calm discouraged fans. Lane Kiffin said he would now spike the ball on USC’s second-to-last play with 20 seconds left, but only to give WR Marqise Lee a breather.

So that means he still would throw deep down sideline on play? Matt Barkley’s throw was way off.

Kiffin said he showed the Trojans film of every major penalty of the first 8 games to emphasize the “selfishness” of penalties.

  1. Must’ve been a long meeting then.

Was Kiff clutching his laminated play chart while reeling to the team their major penalties? His hoarding of play calling is in itself a majorly selfish move on his part.

  2. We all know what happened here. CLFK was horribly ill on Saturday, so he sent his double, comedian Daniel Tosh, to wear the visor and stand in for him. The giveaway was that at halftime, Tosh (as Kiffin) offered a web redemption to the team for all those penalties. The team, completely befuddled by his halftime performance, rattled off a quick TD, then fell into a “WTF was that?” mood that let the Wildcats back into the game.

  3. “Kiffin said he showed the Trojans film of every major penalty of the first 8 games to emphasize the “selfishness” of penalties.”

WTF? The pot strikes back and calls the kettle black. This is too much.
