Post-Game Report

Wide receiver Marqise Lee suffered an allergic reaction about 45 minutes before the game and his eyes became swollen. Doctors aided him and he was obviously good enough to play.

But a bigger topic was what happened to Robert Woods, who caught 2 passes for minus-3 yards? Lane Kiffin said he sensed Woods was getting down on the sideline.

“I’m out there doing my job and what they ask of me,” Woods said. “I’m just trying to run routes.”

Lee praised his roommate: “He’s giving himself up for me, basically,” Lee said.

Tailback Silas Redd did not play because of a sprained ankle suffered against Oregon. He was available for emergency duty. Tailback D.J. Morgan was also banged up, which is why Curtis McNeal had 31 carries for 163 yards.

  1. Didn’t know about Lee’s food allergy issue until after the game. Watching on the Pac-12 Network in SD (FU sideways with a rake, Larry Scott!), Lee looked like he didn’t have 3rd or 4th gear on that 80 yard TD and had to rely on smart running. Same with the reverse.
