Kiffin v. Carroll

Lane Kiffin made a comment last season that he had a better record than Pete Carroll at the same stage of his USC career. What about today?

Carroll lost nine games in his first three seasons. Kiffin’s lost 11 games and still has two more games left this season.

It almost goes without saying that Carroll also won a national title in his third season. What title will Kiffin win thiis year? Or ever?

    I wouldn’t compare these two in the right mind. Carroll is one of the best college football coaches in history, and Kiffin would not even be one of the best assistants in college football.

    Among other things, coach Kiffin could learn a valuable lesson from Barkley’s injury. Occasionally sit your first string QB down to think about mistakes, and give your backups some playing time. Just saying.
